  1. I am looking for a place for an away day with 9 people and food on-site. It needs to be close to Crystal Peaks. I was thinking of a pub / restaurant of some sort but didn't know which ones were nearby. Any thoughts / ideas welcome. BTW, the away day is on the 8th October from 9.30 to 4.30 pm. Thanks garryparry

  3. I use solwise http://www.solwise.co.uk. British, Yorkshire company. FANTASTIC products. I use their powerline (http://www.solwise.co.uk/net-powerline-intro.htm) devices all over my house for the last 10 years. No problems what so ever. No direct link with the company. Only a satisfied customer.
  4. Does anyone know of office spaces in Ecclesall Road, Greenhill area please? Preferably 500 sq.ft and on the ground floor or with lift access.
  5. I think grenoside is a bit too far for us, I'm afraid. We live right at the other side of Sheffield, sorry.

  7. Hi Guys, I don't post often on this forum but have regularly used it to source information on good tradesmen. I thought I should share my experience with you. I have recently had solar panels fitted to our roof - paid a tidy amount for generating 3.9 kw. Have been watching the sun produce electricity and it is one of the best things to see that your electricity meter doesn't run even when you are running appliances (washing machine, dryer, fridge etc. etc.). We used Positive Footprint (http://www.positive-footprint.co.uk) and can't recommend them enough. Their work was flawless, the installers did a good job and the owner of the company pays you personal attention! He also installed a software programme on my computer so I can now see how much electriicty my installation has produced every day, every month and every year! I have no direct connection with the company except as a satisfied customer. Having benefitted from advice from others on good tradesmen, thought I will share my own experience. garryparry
  8. Richard, can you give me a name/number to contact there? Going past the building there appear to be a lot of notices for office availability. garryparry
  9. Thanks for that! My apologies, I ought to have specified I am looking in the Sheffield (Ecclesall, Broomhill) area. garryparry
  10. Can anyone recommend any serviced offices which offer hourly rates for use of office space? I am loathe to rent one out in this uncertain economic climate. garryparry
  11. Thanks for all your help Swarfendor. I tried your suggestions, unfortunately it is not identifying the data on the disk.
  12. Thanks for that Cyclone. I do hope I can recover the data. I have backed up some of it, not all from the last two days. garryparry
  13. I have a 16 GB USB memory stick which used to work well until last night. I has left a file open on the screen and returned to find that the drive had dismounted. When I re-started the PC, the drive now shows as a letter, but doesn't contain any data (right click Properties - 0 bytes). I have a truecrypt volume (http://www.truecrypt.org) and portable apps on the drive. When I double click on the drive in My Computer, it asks to insert a drive! I have tried using Device manager - uninstalling and re-installing the USB driver. I have also tried 'Disk Management' (Rightclick on My Computer at startup and then COmputer Management). In the latter, it shows as a disk but with 0 bytes again. I am sure the problem lies with the stick since the same thing happens on two other computers in the household. i have also tried recuva and PC Inspector File Recovery, but they both don't recognise the stick since it contains 'no data'. Any help gratefully received. garryparry
