  1. As a Channel 4 employee, I hope this happens Sheffield is a great fit for C4.
  2. Go to staples bottom of the moor. It'll only be a quid or so.
  3. I stayed in the Leopold hotel once with my (then) girlfriend. Literally 2 minutes after getting into my room, the bluetooth on my phone buzzed and I got sent a nice little video from the people in what I can only assume was the room next door
  4. Any comedy nights looking for performers? I've done a few stand up gigs now and looking for more!
  5. Take a look at chortle.com as it gives reviews and will tell you about the comedians. I would guess most shows are suitable for young teenagers. They're a lot more world aware than people think
  6. Can you get tickets for Lescar events by going in? Or just pay on the night? There's a few I wanna see. Enjoyed Marcus Brigstocke last night.
  7. The local shops? Like the new fishmongers on sharrowvale road and roneys?
  8. I like it in there. Good music, different from what I'd usually listen to, but that's why I go there. Door staff are sound and usually have a bit of banter when I get ID'd haha. Prices out the students too (and me now I'm unemployed)
  9. I'm moving (back) to Sheffield soon, after stints working in London and Grimsby, and hope to set myself up as a freelancer working from home, but something like this would be fantastic.
  10. A large amount of my business came from fixing problems caused by bad off shore developers. If you're looking for a company to develop it, you'll probably find someone local, who you can meet with face to face, view portfolios, and discuss your needs etc. This'll probably cost more, but you have the advantage of a tailored service and follow up etc. Or, you can out source it to a company you find online of which there are hundreds. I now work for a local council (not sheffield) and they've just spent a six figure sum on a new website, which I could develop on my salary of less than a fifth than that. I need to go into business.

  12. Oh they ran a story on me and my friend "who were today branded criminal" (by no one) for climbing some scaffolding that was around the cathedral and taking photos of the city skyline. (Photos which they then published on the front page without our permission and without payment because "photos on the internet are fair game these days, and we'd just take a picture of the photo on the PC screen and use that anyway")
  13. Since they ran a story on me a few years ago that was lies, and basically threatened me with arrest (by giving out my address) I've not been too keen on them. The article was lies, and the only illegal activity was their stealing of photographs, but since when does that get in the way of a good headline? I've got the front page framed now though haha And anyway, I've worked for the Guardian since. So I'm better
  14. Get the train to East Midlands Parkway, not Derby, it's much further. East Midlands Parkway has been built to service the airport. There's a shuttle bus that runs every half hour i think, and it takes you from the train station to the terminal. Think it's £1.50 each way.
  15. If it's still standing after what....9 / 10 months since you noticed it, it's obviously not as dangerous as you thought. The more dangerous thing about that building is the heroin addicts and needles.
