  1. Hi, I'm not sure what their age range is, if you contact them from their website they will do all they can to accommodate everyone.
  2. Hi, Sorry to hear about this, does your relative have a social worker, if so they should be able to advise of alternative agencies or maybe arrange some funding for the service to continue. If there is no social worker, I suggest calling social services I think this is their number - (0114) 273 4908.

  4. Hi, I just spotted this archive page which may interest you, don't know if the users are still active or not though.
  5. My teenage son is autistic and has been attending S3 Allcomers for about 2.5 years. During this time we have been increasingly impressed with the team’s enthusiasm and creativity towards the care of the disabled people who attend their facility. In addition to the activities listed above, S3 are expanding their sessions to include Spanish, Makaton, Creative Writing and Cookery. The team also offer “The Dry Road” which is a monthly social event originally started to help recovering alcoholics avoid social isolation, but which welcomes anyone who wants to come along. The sessions are very flexible and the S3 crew ensure that everyone interacts with the activity at a level which is most suitable for them, regardless of their level of disability or support needed. Alternatively, drop in sessions may be preferred where anyone can call in for a coffee and a chat or just to chill for a while in friendly company! The Vestry Hall has been recently refurbished and decorated to a very high standard. Several rooms are used by S3 depending upon the activity including a computer room and a large hall is used for dance, martial arts, etc. With ample FREE parking nearby and full disabled access including an elevator, why not drop in for a chat, you would be more than welcome. To follow S3 and related activities, you may wish to view more detail on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Whats-On-Where/192532727471979 (or search for What's On Where page). I cannot thank them enough for the help they have given us, give their service a try and I am sure that you will agree.
  6. I'll try again.... http://s3allcomers.yolasite.com/
  7. Oops - did you spot my mistake...... The main website for S3 is Definitely worth a visit.....
  8. The S3 group (formerly launchpad) provide a range of activities for teenagers / adults with disabilities of all types. They offer a Saturday afternoon session (running most weeks) with access to sensory room / tactile play / art work activities for 2 hours from 2.30pm. The team are very switched on and caring and not many places offer an activity on Saturdays. They are based at The Vestry Hall, S3, so if you drop someone off there is time for some city centre shopping! Activities during the week include, exercising, arts, crafts, games and even offer holidays and employment opportunities for less abled people. Their care rates are very low. For more info see http://s3e.yolasite.com/sensory-room.php Their home page is http://s3e.yolasite.com/sensory-room.php Well worth a visit!
  9. Thanks for the advice everyone - DSGi have apparently posted a worse than expected store trading result but online sales are doing well.......
  10. Hi, I used to work for the call centre a while ago. I noticed recently that the large metal DSGi Contact Campus sign which has been outside for years has been replaced by a smaller, spindly sign saying "know how" or something. Any ideas why - do the staff there still take calls for Currys / PCWorld or are they just for Know How tech support now???
  11. Hi, We have used a DS Lite for many years and are thinking of upgrading to a DSi XL, does anyone know if the lite branded games will work on the XL? Thanks
  12. Hi, does anyone know of any storage for a caravan in the Swallonest, Aston, dinnington area? thanks
  13. Just happen to know that there is Michael Woffinden - a solicitor at Ashton Morton Slack solicitors
  14. Yes, the turbines seem to need a lot more R&D before they are fit for purpose. I would put my money on maintenance free solar panels, lets hope these drop in price so that they will become more common.
  15. Thanks - it's amazing though - we can put a man on the moon but cannot secure a blade on a wind turbine properly - still at least someone tried and I'm all for alternative energy "I have failed in 99% of my efforts to ensure success in the remaining 1% - Soichiro Honda (founder of The Honda Motor Corporation)
