  1. Kidley, presumptuous, yes, but you can only go on the evidence that you see with your own eyes. I'm 100% positive there are some brilliant kids there, but as usual and unfortunately, it's the idiots who leave the lasting impression.
  2. I would but the trouble was, I didn't react fast enough. I was slowing down to the red light and rolled up past them, no further than around 50 yards from the lights when I saw\heard something come in through the window, which was wound down as it was fairly hot this afternoon. I turned to look and them and they were walking off laughing to the rear of the car. I shouted a few obscenities at them and then thought about what to do. I opened my door to get out but the traffic was stacking up behind me and I thought that I couldn't just leave the car standing in the middle of the road while I chased after these three, who were now across the road and walking down Prince of Wales. I really couldn't give a description as it all happened to fast, but they weren't what I call "young" kids, could have been anywhere between 14 to 18, though I suspect they were somewhere in the middle. It's one of those situations where you don't take in what has happened and don't observe the details, wish I had the car camera as would have been able to give them footage of them or the very least a really good description.
  3. Thanks for the supportive messages... just really wound up at the mo - what gives these scrotes the right to think they can just do something as disgusting as this without retribution is what winds me up so much. I'm big enough and ugly enough to look after myself, but what happens when they do this to someone a bit more vulnerable, which they no doubt will. The annoying this is that I have a car cam whichs records all of my journeys, but it broke last week, otherwise I'd have had them on camera in glorious HD.... grrr!
  4. Good call Presley, never thought about that...! If I could have reacted a bit quicker, I'd have punched the little git, but then would have ended up in the nick for doing it.... pepper spray a far better idea... self defence!
  5. ... dirty little chav and his two mates who, unprovoked, SPAT at me through my driver window as I pulled up to the lights at the junction of Prince of Wales Road\Harborough Avenue on my way home from work this afternoon. It's great to see the youth of the Manor doing all they can to preserve the reputation of the area. Not happy....
  6. Guessing you don't know what double barrel means in relation to a horse? It's got absolutely nothing to do with guns....
  7. If you're going to do it, at least have the balls to show your face. There was a van full of sabs up in Barlow last year, every single one had their faces covered. If you've got nothing to hide, why cover up? By all means protest, but don't upset the horses, it's dangerous for everyone (I know some of you would be happy to see the hunters fall off), but you won't be so happy if you get a double barrel in the belly from one of them.
  8. Froger, you're having a laugh if you think the groups of youths in Dronfield are "gangs", go down to S3\Broomsprings where I lived before - that'll open your eyes and you'll realise how lucky you are living in such a pleasant, safe place.
  9. I don't live in Dronfield, it's up the road from me, but as has already been said, it's a great place - clean, nice and friendly with some excellent pubs and beer. If you're looking for a "party town", it's not for you, but if you want somewhere where you feel safe that you're not going to get jumped on by hoards of marauding youths, then it's ideal. I lived in Sheffield for over 40 years, but much prefer it out here.
  10. Don't expect the tight wads down at Bramall Lane to give you anything. My auntie collected autographs from players in the 40s and 50s, including Jimmy Hagan, etc. She donated it to the museum\display that they were setting up and promised they'd give her a tour when it was all finished.... no surprises, she never heard anything again, wouldn't be surprised if McCabe sold it on eBay
  11. The latest mobile camera locations in SY can be found here: http://www.safetycamera.org/home
  12. I still think they should have put that woman in a wheelie bin for 12hrs in the middle of Coventry as punishment....!
  13. I love my cats and would defend them to the hilt, but cats can be cruel b*stards when it comes to birds (not good) and vermin (not necessarily a bad thing).... picking up bits of mice outside your front door at 7.00am isn't the most pleasant thing I've ever done, but at least I don't have a cat flap!
