and how are you labour voting idiots going to pay for these here prisons ,,even before you convict or even charge ,as stated believe it or not there are honest scrap men out there ,better get used to the scrap men they are not going away ,a legit van with tax ,test ,insurance to carry scrap ,and a waste carriers licence anyone with these in place can legally carry scrap ,conviction is highly unlikely for any offence ,Granted there are wrong uns ,but the same can be said of most professions ,

like i said scroates and dole wallahs ,dont think the lad was a genuine ford transit metal recovery agent/specialist ,just some daft lad who probably blew his last giro on a wilkos hacksaw and some machine mart bolt cutters ,

i have read the threads all of them ,,,,most of the taking without permission is the smackheads and petty criminals ,All the scrap lads i know have regular rounds in set areas these include garages ,shops ,factories,and housing estates where they perform a good service without having to steal a quids worth of light tin trampoline legs or a chinesse patio heater that weighs less than a mondeo brake disc ,

never seen a scrap man with patio furnitue bbq or patio heater ,dont weigh much you see ,most likely to be a scroate from two streets down sat in his garden slurping special brew and cheap cider on your furniture,,,,

if they cannot see it they cant take it ,and copper is 5k a tonne ,as for church roofs no self respecting scrap man would touch a church ,youll find its the smackheads and lowlife dole wallahs doing these crimes ,

and have an owner who is tracable,We dont hear of many convictions for scrap theft do we,just a simple police responce of harrasment to scrap lads,document checks and vehicle checks ,but believe it or not most scrap vans are better maintained than most cars,and fully legal ,The onus lies with the owner of the metal to secure it by removing from sight ,

but you should ,,how many scrap threads have we had on here ,,,,dozens ,,,,scrap men are the new social outcasts ,why ? because they get of their backsides and go and earn a few quid ,which just happens to be more than most people on here earn ,How much scruffier would sheffield be without these hard working men removing for free your unwanted waste ,Back to my point if you value it remove from sight ,,do you leave your laptop/satnav on show in your car ,,,,,?

I think enough people on here are aware of what happens to bits and pieces left in gardens on open show to all and sundry ,would you leave cash on your front door steps and expect it to stay put ,Scrap men do a good service to the community picking up unwanted rubbish ,stop knocking them its a tough job ,most do knock on and ask ,but diesel ,insurance and waste carriers aint cheap ,if its metal put it under cover and out of sight ,simples ,,,,

but due to the high rate of police crashes and deaths caused by so called professional drivers should they persue scroats at daft mph ,once people know they have been seen by the dibble they usually dump the car asap and run ,
