  1. Last week I was working somewhere that had on BBC Radio Sheffield. I really enjoyed listening to Vic McGlynn's show in the afternoon. She had me literally LOL'ing on numerous occasions Anyway, I don't listen to a lot of mainstream radio so don't know who she is etc, turns out she was standing in for a regular presenter. Anyone know if she has any other shows? Thanks
  2. Are you using Internet Exploder 3 or something? Site works for me. And out of interest, how do you know it's a Wix site without looking at the code? I think the design could be tidied up a bit maybe; swap the 'Refund Policy' and the 'Returns Policy' round on the help page... or better still, merge them... Sorry guys, I know you weren't looking for advice. All the best, looks like a great project. Love the 8-Bit Jewelry! Bought myself an 'Alien Chain'
  3. I trust none of you moaning about 'antisocial emissions' run a car? Because that would be hypocritical.
  4. I recommend Meadowhall Motors. £40 back in February. They're a testing station only I think.
  5. Most likely an estate agent or another coffee chain. Would be great to have a decent late bar down there. Something like The Dolphin in Hackney, open till 5/6am.
  6. Charles Darwin would argue otherwise. ---------- Post added 22-08-2013 at 14:11 ---------- Or, because the coach company wants to ensure they don't get sued for not supplying seatbelts. It's down to the passenger to actually wear it.
  7. I think young 'uns should definitely be educated and encouraged to wear a helmet. It makes sense to do so. But a new law to make people wear one?... It should be up to the individual, it's their head.
  8. True, I guess that brings up an entirely new debate. Should laws be made to stop people hurting themselves? Seat belts, crash helmets etc. What about sports, swimming in the sea etc?
  9. You're committing an offence watching a TV without a licence, smoking a naturally occurring plant, or congregating in numbers in a public place. Years ago you were committing an offence by being gay. Why not think for yourself? Deep down you know what's right and wrong.
  10. I think a lot of this comes down to a mixture of 'divide & rule', and a general trend of low intelligence amongst drivers. A bit like those 'furrowed-brow' types on here who blame all of society's problems on benefit claimants and immigrants, rather than looking up. Drivers generally cannot stand to see cyclists and the like using common sense, in respect to traffic lights etc. They'll shout "THEY SHOULD OBEY THE LAW" "PAY ROAD TAX" etc etc. It really isn't that difficult to understand, that motorists need to heed traffic light signals because they're in control of a two-tonne moving object and the potential for serious damage to other road users is high. Whereas a cyclist will generally only hurt themselves. It's about common sense and personal responsibility. Rather than "THEY SHOULD, BECAUSE I HAVE TO" (Though I guess if you're using a car for personal transportation in 2013, then you have to be a bit simple Unless of course you're disabled, or drive for your job). People should think for themselves, rather than treating every little problem with more laws, signs, warnings, rules & regulations. Actually, I take all that back. They should introduce a mandatory 'basic intelligence test' to be included alongside the theory and practical driving tests.
  11. Rubbish. If you heeded every barrier, sign, and warning in this spiteful little country, you'd never get out of the womb. Just exercise some personal responsibility.
  12. I was up there on my (push) bike today. What a strange place it is. There's almost a palpable feeling of malevolence in the air. Whether it's from the crackling overhead power lines, or emanating from whatever toxic debris is buried up on Parkwood Springs, I don't know. Can anyone fill me in on a quick history of that area? Ie, I why are there so many abandoned roads (Wallace, Pickering etc, and further up near the old cemetery) And why did they build a huge dump right in the middle of a city? Thanks
  13. Leave your car at home and let me take you out for dinner (in a taxi).
