Hiya all Im 23 living in chesterfield wanting to join a womens football team. I have a car so dont mind travelling to sheffield. Iv seen one recent thread but understand theres already alot of people signed up to it. Does anyone know of any other womens teams? Or would anyone be interested in setting on up? Iv not played for years and my fitness has some what deteriorated! But i go to the gym/swimming so im working on it! Ta x

I know what u mean.... dronfield bypass is closed sheffield bound due to a very big crash. Not sure whats happened on abbydale road though, sorry.

I stopped on tuesday.... used patches for 3 days. No cravings!!

We moved from sheffield to chesterfield and love it! Soooo quiet where we live (near brimington). Although i think sheffield has the better nightlife (more choice of places, maybe?) although i dont tend to go out in sheffield much now... the taxi fair home is a bit much!!

We won hallamsters cd and it turned up the day after. Spose if its anything bigger then its going to take a bit longer. Shouldnt be that long to the extent that u have to chase them though!

Not snowing here in chesterfield. Its all starting to thaw now. Had a sleet for a while this afters but its doing nothing now...

snowing here in chesterfield, again. has been snowing most of the morning here. keeps getting heavy at times, then stopping for a bit then starting again. Been shopping at the big tesco this morning and my god it was manic!

Think I might have to do the same going to sheffield tomorrow! The other half just looked at weather forcast and it looks like its going 2 freeze tonighht and will probably disappear tomorrow daytime.

Its snowing in chesterfield quite bad.... Looks like I'll need to get up at 5:30 to make sure I can move my car

I was using first gear loads on my journey, it was a lot easier than 2nd tbh...

What a load of crap! Iv just managed to drive my little 1.1 saxo with no abs, traction, powersteering etc from sheffield to chesterfield in this snow and iv managed to get home safely, not causing any accidents or delays. Maybe you have just encountered people who haven't driven in snow before? Or are nervous driving in this weather? Don't tar all 2wd with the same brush. Some know how to drive in snow, whatever car they own. And fyi this snow isn't even in need of 4x4's.

Iv just had to drive from sheffield to chesterfield (in my little saxo with no abs, traction control- job lot) in this snow. It has taken me an hour, usually takes me half hr, if that. Traffic was horrendous around gleadless, averaging 5mph all the way to the dronfield bypass - 30mph max on there. Home now though, lovely and warm!
