  1. I will try it, next time me and the gyals are hangin' in the park *just to make it clear, I dont frequent parks, nor drink White Lightening. I wont say no to Cherry Lambrini, its nice to have with your conflakes in a morning
  2. Street corner. The park is where I drink the white lightening.
  3. This thread is going to get too intellectual for me isnt it?
  4. I know exactly what you mean, and I dont know WHY! Now you have got me thinking of a reasoning...
  5. Iv never even heard of it! Edited: Sorry, that wasnt very helpful.
  6. Is that your opinion? Or as the Home Office instructed you not to discuss other peoples accents in public? Dont worry this is an encrypted forum!! * *Another joke.... :
  7. Oh, Im sorry, is it some sort of 'secret service thing'?!
  8. BANG ON. So Hitler.... Religion? * *note this is a joke
  9. Opinions are OPINIONS unless backed by facts, in which case its not an opinion... its a FACT Therefore, neither of us are correct nor incorrect as neither of us have FACTS to prove our opinions. We can still disagree.
  10. I was thinking sexuality or hitler Or both....
  11. I dont know, something that isnt controversial
  12. An opinion is that, it is neither correct nor incorrect. Maybe you should seek an education before you judge others.
  13. No swearing in my sentence? Sorry, is this showing how publicly educated I am
  14. You 'contend' alot, dont you? I dont think (and dont know of) any people who 'pretend' to sound privately educated (I personally think this is a rediculouse accusation/statement/assumption you are making). I talk 'posher' on the phone, simply because given my job, and my very strong Yorkshire accent "Yo' late payin' tha bill am sendin' thi t'Court" isnt very professional. I simply do not understand where the 'your posh on the phone therefore your either ill educated posh-wannabe, or privately educated' comes from, its a pathetic and quite frankly rediculous statement to make. Simple.
  15. That be fine, however that is also why we have 'threads'. If i wanted to read peoples views on private/public education, I wouldnt think to look in the 'Why do some people talk posh on the phone?' thread. Think of it as filing paperwork. You wouldnt look in your 'car insurance' folder for your telephone bill, would you? But I understand, free speech an' all that.
  16. How you were bloody educated has nothing to do with how you talk on the soddin' phone!!
  17. Maybe we should just give in, take out all the crossings and lets see how we get on then... Whichever way we look at it, you can understandibly argue all ways "its the pedestrians fault" "its the drivers fault" "its SCC fault" "I need another glass of wine". Either way your going to have disagreements. SCC/whoever need to look into what is most feasible at this moment in time and try that, be it lowering the limit on the roads coming up to the roundabout, so people arent going as fast on their approach and rolling out, moving the crossing or implementing traffic signal cameras to (try and) stop people jumping lights. Either way, people arent going to be happy until THEY are able to cross it with no cars, bikes, traffic signals, anyone around effecting them.
  18. That doesnt matter. If i click on a thread titled "Why do some people talk posh on the phone" I expect to read such a thread. Not posts on how people were/should be/are like when privately/publicly educated.
  19. I see where you are coming from, but I think the size of the roundabout (given the differential in lanes between Brook Hill and Park Square), doesnt justify the cost for a footbridge. I think the simple, cost-effective answer would be to simply move the crossings further up/down roads away from the roundabout (even if it means just moving the crossings two car lengths), this should help. Also the obvious people learning how to drive on a roundabout will help also
