  1. even though my hair is tissue paper thin he looked thought it and said my scalp was ok , " no no dear there is no sign of alopecia, it's simply due to your age" which i think at 42 is rubbish! he knows i'm on antidepressants but never even suggested i could be over stressed , i distinctly got the impression he thinks i'm imagining it ! which is odd as when i go on the web cam to my parents you can see right through my hair making my mother very concerned


  2. check out the diet doctors website for channel 5, they featured someone a short while ago with simialr issues. i thinkit was chocloate or sugar that was partially to blame.

     

    the lady did show some improvment after the 3 months(significant)

     

    oh no i cant live without chocolate and sugar ! i wonder if its a food alergy then?


  3. she's still taking them. the doctor did advise that it could take months for any effects to become truly noticible and shes only been on them for a 6 weeks or so.

     

    sorry i cant give you anything concrete.

  4. i think i will book to see my Gp see what he can suggest although i have been putting off going through embarasment its like saying out loud makes it real , while ever i can do the comb over bit i can kid myself that my hairs fine , but its got so bad lately that i cant hide it anymore

I have recently been going through a stressful time and i now notice that much to my horror my hair has thinned right down so much so that you can easily see my scalp, i am really embarassed about this can anyone offer me some advice about how to cure this? i am female by the way which makes it worse! thanks ppl.
