  1. Two bedroom mid-terrace house at Foxhill - GCH, Double Glazing, kitchen and bathroom modernised under the decent homes development in 2005 - small fenced front garden and medium sized garden to the rear. Near to shops and bus routes. Looking for an exchange nearer to Grenoside or Southey Green - 2/3 bedrooms - please PM me if interested.
  2. Daisy's - mobile beautician - please PM me if you want her number.
  3. Just had some guys round our local area at Foxhill going around looking for scrap - or so they say! One guy is sat in a white transit van while about another fpur are on foot going to the front and rear of people's properties - logged it with the neighbourhood police - people beware!
  4. Hi, I used to have silk wrap from a local salon although my nails kept breaking and then a friend recommended Daisy's to me - Kerry is mobile and I have gel nails - I find that they are so much better than silk and hard wearing - PM me if you'd like the details.
  5. Planet Hair & Beauty - Halifax Road open 'til late on a Thursday if that helps?
  6. Hi - can't fault Planet Hair - Halifax Road (there is also a salon in Crookes) - they turned my home dyed hair into a lovely platinum blonde - I also had some low-lights put in to make my hair colour look more natural - that was about 7 years ago and I've never looked back! Had many shades and cuts since then and they always do an excellent job - it's also a good place to go to if you want to be pampered - always feels like a treat when I go!!!
  7. Hi, it sounds like the thermostat has gone - this has happened to one of my dryers before and my husband fixed it. You can by the thermostat from a diy store for round about £15. Hope this helps and ensures that you don't have to call anyone out!
  8. Yes, I agree, I would call nhs direct or visit the medical walk-in centre that is near Meadowhall - sorry, not sure of the exact location. I think that the Dr would obviously examine your wife, but would still refer you so I would do any of the above.
  9. I bought my dad a gold Rotary one for Christmas 2006 - I got it from Beaverbrooks in Meadowhall - cost £145 and I then had it engraved at another place at it would have cost a fortune there! It can be opened at the back too so that you can see the workings of it. I saw one on the Ernest Jones website but once I got to Meadowhall, they didn't have it in stock, so I think it would be a good idea if you phone around first before going out to find that they don't have what you're looking for!
  10. Yeah, I totally agree and think that you should hand it in to the police - hopefully, the person who has lost this item will inform the police where they will record all necessary details and should someone hand the item in, will phone the said person and hand the item over - as said by someone previously, it's not a good idea to asume that the said person will look on here (they might not have access to the tinternet!) - I personally would go straight to the police - after checking the enquiry desk at Morrisons, if I lost something.
  11. Isn't there still a dance school on Moonshine Lane across from the waterworks in the church - I used to do tap and ballet when I was a little girl - years ago - but as far as I know, they're still doing them? You could also try Hillsborugh Leisure centre - I think that they might do them too.
  12. For anyone who has Sky or cable, have you ever noticed that on one of the music channels - might be VH1, David seems to be on it a lot, giving people a countdown of his top ten love ballads or something - why? Do people really want to know????? Sorry for the peeps that thinks he's a bit of alright!
  13. Hi Hallam06, don't worry, there is life after divorce!!! I met my parter 5 years ago at a Sheffield club and he was 31, going through divorce with 2 children - I was 21 at the time - big age gap you might be thinking but we're both adults!! Anyway, we are still together, live together, engaged - due to get married either next year or the year after (we're busy doing our house up at the mo!) and we now have a beautiful baby boy - well he's 6 months old now who loves his two big sisters which he sees every fortnight when they visit! So don't be down, get yourself out and I'm sure you'll meet the future Mrs Hallam one day...
  14. Jimbob, you must lead a depressing life?! Must admit though, I don't really watch any of them really - only if there's nothing else on!
