  1. Do you know what, regardless of title or weather this is a tax or a reduction that sort of post was done to death last year and was a completely different thread, i am unemployed and have been paying it for must be a year now just been another hurdle to get over such is life, but if this is right what basset one is stating then surely councils are becoming worse off to something that wasn't thought out properly i could bleat on but what the point if this is just going to be bash benefit claimants version 2 !!!
  2. I knew this man as a friend of mine and my now wife, we used to go as regular as clockwork to the Roxy nightclub every weekend when we had the money he was my first real friend of the era of being able to go out and drink legally, and i can say he was the most caring little cheeky chappy there was and even though we lost contact over the years in my case i went on on settle down and have children with my wife and eventually contact stopped. as i saw this yesterday on the news i was genuinely shocked and upset as i now wish that we had kept contact in some shape or form but if any of you other guys that went out with us is reading this please contact me ill list you below as i knew you back in the day. Carl Hague Andy Sparkie ( sorry i never really knew your real name ) Im sure it was you that was in the calandar report on itv laying the flowers. We all had nicknames and im sorry if aliitle vague im sure i had one but names aside we were solid friends at the time. I hope these ******** or ******* that killed my friend and also the friend of the above people are caught soon before they can do it to any other individual. Rest in Piece Simon you will be missed, but i do know that you will be with your dad again, miss you. and altho im not a football supporter i knew Simon as a massive Wednesday fan so up the owls! Thanks Lee & Lisa (leadhammer)
  3. i would also love to add to the new harsher law and add parking half on pavements half on road a fine able/ban able offence, will always maintain roads for driving paths for walking why should a pedestrian have to walk on the road and put themselves in danger of oncoming traffic to dodge a car parked where a pedestrian should be walking when there's ample space for the car to park normally as some do.
  4. Im going to reiterate what Madusa has said here that its no one else's business but our own when people are ill and have pets myself being one of them and have ruling by ATOS that i am unfit for work, but we have pets for company and companionship not because we are scroungers, i would love to work again but illness prevents this. what does get to me tho is when benefits are mentioned on this forum everyone is tarred with the same brush (benefit scrounger not wanting work) lets be truly honest this is not always the case some people have genuine disabilities that prevent from work but we also are on benefits and also have pets for the reasons stated above company and companionship.
  5. No pet owners dont get any subsidy or benefit for ownership of a pet, but most who own a pet have one for company and most that have pets whilst being in a bad situation have had them from that pet being a pup and in this case they become family and to foster them or get rid of them is just cruel after that animal has given its love to the owner unconditionally. i have a dog and i and my wife are on esa and tbh our dog gets better treatment than us and i wouldnt have it any otherway.
  6. Some of what you say i agree with but some of it is utter tripe ie i highlight in bold in your post, kids transport provided by sheffield city council is for those that have learning difficulties, mostly those that have to use aids such as wheelchairs and walking frames, of which one of my children fits into this category and will not go into detail as this should not be needed, but what you are implying is these children should rely on public transport which may i say do not have the facilities to hold any more than one wheelchair at a time, so please amuse me and explain how this could be worked around when there are so many children in sheffield that have learning difficulties and are walking impaired. Please do i need a laugh.
  7. i wouldnt like to guess tbh, but like to add the show hasnt been the same since david tennent left as the show goes at the moment with matt smith it dosent deserve a saturday night prime time slot would say it would be better in the kids hour during weekdays as thats what i believe the show has become pandering to the kids rarther than aiming to a wider spectrum.
  8. What utter rubbish, people on benefits are receiving there normal amounts of benefits either it be Esa or Jsa i being one of them, and then being billed extra via there council tax bill and rent bill (evidence right there in its called council tax bill which is a TAX) , before the bedroom tax was introduced i didn't receive a council tax bill, now i do therefore a tax if it wasn't a tax it would be deducted from the claimants benefit before receiving it that then would be a benefit reducment. your a typical tory looking after your own kind in work but not looking at the bigger picture, there are no jobs for certain sectors and no smaller property's for people to move into when being under this so called benefit reducment in your words. god forbid anyone in a council property with rooms to spare who is in work be suddenly made redundant you would soon be changing your picture on this.
  9. Same was hoping to catch this and forgot but just found it on 4od (channel4 catchup site) http://www.channel4.com/programmes/skint/4od gonna watch it in a bit
  10. i take Trazodone 150mg at a dosage of 300mg per day, today i have picked my prescription up and taken to local chemist who didnt have any stock of it and said that there was a manufacturing problem with them at the moment, i took the script back to the doctors who did some ringing around and was told that boots in the center of sheffield still have them and also lloyds at meadowhead where i eventually managed to get my tablets.
  11. i saw this also, it also happened to be april fools day when i saw it and unfortunatly it seems thats exactly what it was an april fools joke had all the looks of an official steam page but upon clicking any link to the forums etc within said page directed elsewhere. here is a youtube video of exactly what a saw on 1st april also here http://storestteampowered.com/app/4411/ Not dodgy if you click forums on the above page it will say april fools there is no hl2 ep 3 and continue to say click here to back to cheapshark seems an american mail order games firm.
  12. Nah Voted no, its underused and if this sort of tax was implimented here how long would it be before other councils followed suite sure your saying one pound on the council tax bill but isnt this just leaving it open for this tory government to screw more money out of the uk public already some at breaking point in some cases. before you know it where paying for our own failings then other counties too.
  13. Sounds like the shop is called Your Good Mourning, i have no idea as to weather the business is still there in the shop form but they still have a website yourgoodmourning.com I did a stint there on the work program in the closing months of last year so i would presume it still there.
  14. totally agree with the above we as a county are losing jobs hand over fist with the likes of comet, hmv, jessops going bust, yet the people of this forum sometimes make me sick by saying get a job or sometimes refer to the benefit system and people on it as benefit scroungers and yet the government knowing the problem increases the problem by introducing new taxes which people cant afford, yes we are being said to move out to more suitable homes but those already struggling to make hens meat are not gonna be able to make costs of new furniture carpets and decoration costs in new properties, always gonna be the same whilst this government are in power rich get richer poor get poorer, just those that are rich never know whats round the corner and someday they also could be on the other side of the field.
  15. As above been with them myself 7 years plus recently upgraded to infinity, altho not the cheapest, but you pay for what you get pay cheap get a rubbish service. in 7 years had very little reason to contact customer service thro faults, im on greenhill exchange in sheffield btw.
  16. I don't drive but on low edges the problem is ridiculous the main road is quite narrow but there are loads of side streets where they could park with ease with all four wheels on the road, Personally i think if a car driver is caught 2 or more wheels on the pavement they should have to pay an additional tax as a penalty for say 6 months they then may think twice of parking in such a manner.
  17. Trouble is the rotten eggs as you call them get made unemployed as no fault of there doing, ie companies going bust that cant afford wages or honor wages at employees last work shifts. These employees then have to claim benefits which can takes weeks to process where does these people stand ? are they still the rotten eggs of society.
  18. if you go to this site, xda-developers.com you should have all the information you need most phones have there own separate forums and help i personnaly havent registed there but do browse it regularly to get some inspiration on theming my phone thro use of launchers, read everything carefully tho its very easy to brick a phone this being known i havent attempted to root, if you just wish to theme your phone it is easier to just use apps such as Apex Launcher, Nova Launcher or Go Launcher with ease and almost get the same results as rooting, without rooting all launchers available thro google play most have free versions.
  19. makes me laugh tho, talk about throwing money to the cows both shops in question on fargate have been re decorated in ee colours but now decide to close some of the shops on the same roads, wouldnt it have been wiser to close some of the shops prior to redecoration ?
  20. could it be from the old cooling towers used to often go past on tram past the cooling towers to see that there would be water still remaining in them despite not being used anymore
  21. yup we are to blame for buying online download it about time that online sales were regulated better inline with the high street store but lets not forget the bigger picture four thousand jobs at risk at hmv, not really worth the cost of an online album now is it, be it cheaper or not.
  22. dont like the guy, was recently watching the nations favorite number 1 which aired the last 3 sundays before today, cant remember where he placed but it gave a small insight to his life as a musician, and his early years in which he was a scottish thug that compiled with his raspy voice as pattricia said make me hate the guy with a vengence. tbh just an aged rocker who dosent know how to quit and lie down.
  23. couldnt agree more the show has been tripe this year in fact i would as far to say that it needs a major overhaul or to be axed now its a dated concept it worked some years ago but now its almost laughable
