If Muay thai is what you are after, Wicker is just fine. If its Kickboxing you are after , AFK is not quite as big a project as Wicker camp but you still get the best coaching as well as fully equipped gym. Is it ISKA Commonwealth champion Adam Hadfield teaching the classes?

Firstly let me inform you all of my background. Im half Bangladeshi and half from Mauritius , as such Im familiar with several different forms of Indian cuisine. For starters we all had the Sambar which was essentially a lentil soup spiced with curry leaves and mustard seeds. Very interesting twist to dhaal One of our party had these potato cakes which were nice. For mains we had a chicken chettinadh thali and a chicken sizzler. On the chicken sizzler, the chicken was tender and the flavours and spice level were just right it came with naan and chilli powdered chips too. The chicken chettinadh reminded me of my grandmothers cooking in mauritius which she used to make in her little stone kitchen. The accompanying potato dish reminded me of my uncles dish which he made when he lived in england (he had enough of the weather and buggered off back to Mauritius LOL) . Each bite of everything brought back a different memory of living abroad or of family members past and present. Will definitely visit again.

Thats an interesting approach. Personally at my own gym I have separate classes for Beginners to the Fighters. As youve seen from the Fighters yourself , they need a totally different kind of training that your average mortal probably couldnt handle You really ought to pop down and have a look sometime. The kids class on Monday, I might actually be able to make.

Is that mixed ability or beginners only? Where is the childrens class?

I think maybe wait till shes 5? I do a class in the city centre for kids 7-8pm. My own kids train in that class as well. My daughter is 4, if your daughter starts ill start my daughter off too then she has a training partner.

Local Kickboxers such as Ant Superman Stuchbury, Andrew The Crusader Campsill (both from AFK) Danny Rowlett (from Marsdens) as well as Thaiboxer Alex Mcquillan from Thanapron should possibly feature on this episode. What great exposure for local Kickboxers? the next showing is Saturday 13th July.

Marsdens All Styles do a mix of Karate, Kickboxing and Self Defense . They operate at Hillsborough Sports Arena. They are a family run club where 3 generations all train together.

Finally, Kickboxing is up there with Boxing. Well almost LOL MA-Action has finally got up there on TV, channel 203 . This weekend just gone, there were Kickboxing fights on TV featuring local fighters. This weekend there is yet more kickboxing and MMA (from down south i think? not entirely sure). The weekend after, Sunday 7th July will feature Sheffield based Kickboxers Saturday 13th July will also feature Sheffield based kickboxers.
