Was starting to wonder the same thing, even though I am a member of a church, where females generally outnumber males. However most are students who stay for their studies then clear off - doesn't make the prospect of a long term relationship (i.e. that will lead to marriage) particularly attractive. I am also some 15 years or so older than most students.

I have one company get my postcode wrong - I live in S10. Despite giving my postcode phonetically (i.e. Sierra One Zero ...) they still get it wrong (upon asking why packages don't get delivered) - they have entered a postcode for London (SE10) or Devizes (SN10).

What made me move was being fed up with commuting from Worksop (I had long since got fed up wth living there) to Sheffield - work was in Sheffield, and much of my social life was there and in Donny, Barnsley (girlfriend at the time) and Nottingham. Days consisted travel from train from Worksop to Sheffield, train from Sheffield to Donny or Nottingham then bus back to Worksop were not uncommon. Why I stayed - church (though I moved congregations four years ago) which has been the main source of reliable local contacts.
