  1. Great I'll pop on Fri and see if she's around, thanks for the info would rather give to them and Amy's if poss
  2. Does anyone know what days the ladies run the Help for Heroes charity stall on Bellhouse Road? I've got bags and bags of stuff to donate, Amy's retreat at Nethershire shop aren't taking any donations at the moment. Thanks in advance
  3. So looking forward to tomorrow night - Roger the Mascot. Definitely worth a watch and a listen, have a look on youtube. Saw them for the first time at Tramlines and been hooked ever since!
  4. Hello! The Megacentre is really good, I've taken my kids ages 3 and 5 there a few times. There's a bouncy castle and a ball pool. Quite a small area for the under 1's with a few toys/books/slide/cars etc. There's a larger section for older kids (plus5's) too. They do a toddler morning there but can't remember what day it is - £2.95 and the little un's get a healthy snack. Give them a ring or just call in and ask if you can have a look around, all the staff seem really friendly (Lovely coffee too)
  5. Majorca is lovely - only 2.5 hours away and the temps should be about what you are looking for. Cala Bona is lovely and very scenic but has some lovely bars and places to eat. Agree with the Canaries they are great (Gran Canaria being my fave) but it's always really hot tho not sure what the temps are frb/march and flight times are anything between 4 and 5 hours We went abroad for the first time last year with my then 4 and 2 year old. We went to Majorca, they loved it and the flights were fine - a big adventure!
  6. We've had our xmas do at Magna a couple of times. Not cheap (about £45 i think) but food was gorgeous, silver service. They had a great band and bumper cars there too! Not everyones cuppa but we really enjoyed it both times. We're going to ponds forge this year for a masquerade ball - eek!
  7. We took out little un's down and spent about 5 and a half hours there. The music was great and kids loved having their faces painted, we had a picnic and had a really lovely time. Well done to all the people who organised it, it was a great day!!
  8. Nearest side road to the ground is Vere Road (the one with the off licence and Chinese takeaway on the end) my mum and dad live there, i'd imagine there'd be plenty of space to park on there at that time as a lot of people will be out
  9. Took my two kids and their two friends last week - couldn't believe the price increase! Always been a fan of fun zone as it was always one of the quieter play centres, not too expensive and great for the younger kids as not too big. Very disappointed at how it's gone downhill recently. The equipment is old and dated, the toilets are disgusting, "new decor" is black and red Think we'll stick to Jungle Mania
  10. We went a fortnight ago and still closed, opening July 2013 apparently. Everything else was open as usual, fair, sandpit, adventure playground
  11. Yeah, the blue tram goes quite near to Runaround. Get off at the Westfield stop and follow the road road and it's on the left hand side. We dont drive either, but have been over to Runaround for a few parties and found it to be brilliant! Lovely and clean, food good quality and reasonably priced etc.
  12. Lucky to have such a fantastic hospital on our doorstep! Had a couple of short stays there with my little girl - staff are brilliant!
  13. Some of us don't have a choice but to miss some of our childrens milestones unfortunately
  14. Hi there! Not sure whereabouts you are but there is a second hand pram shop in Hillsborough just opposite Morrisons on Langsett Road they have some really good bargains not sure what its called tho, opens thurs fri sat i think. xx
  15. http://www.frankhill-jewellers.co.uk/ Try this one!
  16. Oxfam on Fulwood Road had some yesterday, also Sainsburys on the moor!
  17. Hi there. My little un's were only there for 4 months but that was because of my eldest starting school and me changing my hours. It was only ever going to be temporary. The time they were there for tho they really settled in, the staff were lovely and i wouldn't hesitate in taking my youngest back there if circumstances changed again. It was perfect for me as it was 2 mins away from the tram stop and stayed open til 6pm (opens at 8am) they had a nice little play area outside which was secure and safe, security was important too. I felt really confident leaving them in the girls care. Give them a ring and arrange a visit. The main woman there is called Jackie and she was lovely
  18. Back of cineworld tickets have 2 for 1 offers for the golf at the minute
  19. As a mummy to a 3 year old little girl myself I cannot comprehend what her family are going through. Such a sad and tragic waste of a beautiful young life. RIP little angel xxx
  20. Antibos in West One - lovely food and not too expensive. Usually have offer vouchers on their website!
  21. I'd happily recommend Sunshine Day Nursery on Beechill Road. Both my little un's have been going there since they were 5 months old, staff are great and i've always found them really accomodating. Go with your instincts, you will know if it's right or wrong when you go visit xx
  22. Noticed Ron's at Firth Park had got some earlier, £6.99 each or two for a tenner!
  23. We went here last year for Sunday lunch. Maybe things are different now but when we went they had no baby change facilities or highchairs. They weren't even that friendly either to be honest
  24. My little girl is 3, i personally wouldn't dream of having her ears pierced any time in the next ten years!
  25. Not for free, but Sheffield Childrens Hospital have got a link on their home page £7.50 to collect and dispose of old xmas trees (£4.50 going to their charity) great cause!!
