  1. On Saturday the 4th November between 1pm and 3pm I will be volunteering as a collection point at Morrisons Supermarket, The Common, Ecclesfield, Sheffield S35 9AE by the recycling area on behalf of Paws2Rescue Paws2Rescue are holding their annual Christmas Shoebox appeal for the children in the Romanian Orphanages together with any donations of food, blankets, un-wanted dog accessories such as bedding etc to help the Romanian street dogs to survive the winter. More details can be found on their website and their facebook page and if anyone has anything to donate it will be gladly received.
  2. I know you are desperate to resolve this matter but doing that will only pass the problem on to someone else.
  3. if you box them up and take them away where are you going to take them? Did you contact Mayfly?
  4. Grand - where abouts in Sheffield are you? Did you follow Moonbird's advice and contact the people on the link?
  5. I have booked with The Big Green Coach Company for a pick up in Sheffield next month to go to the Guns & Roses concert in London, I have never used them before and had never heard of them however I didnt fancy having to drive down and found them on the web. Their reviews however are terrible. for my own peace of mind I wondered if anyone had used them from the Sheffield terminal and whether they were reliable. I have visions of being stranded in Sheffield and missing the concert :help:
  6. I have used Broomhill Tree Surgeons who never fail to turn up and do a fantastic job and leave no mess
  7. Hi I have adopted a street dog from Romania and even though training is going extremely well I am very reluctant to let her off the lead due to her background. she has the run of the back garden and we have an extendable lead however I would love to be able to let her out in the open knowing she couldnt get out. I'm sure I've heard of somewhere but can't recall. Maybe someone could help remind me.
  8. I would recommend Jaycliffe kennels - we have used them twice in the last year for our three cats and rescued Romanian dog. We will be using them again this year. They even post you photos of your pets on facebook!!!
  9. Three years ago my rescued degus gave birth to a litter of 4 females and 1 male pups. We rehomed the females and my little nephew adopted the lone male who we were unable to rehome and who has therefore always lived alone. Unfortunately my nephew has now outgrown silver and has been given numerous warnings about not bothering handling, feeding and cleaning him correctly. After having his last warning and failing again we have now decided to put Silver up for rehoming as I feel it is not fair on the degu especially with him always living a home. I appreciate that it may now be impossible to rehome him with other degus and I would only be willing to give him to a very experienced owner if this was to be considered He comes with cage, sand, toys, food etc.
  10. thanks all, I will speak to the vets tomorrow
  11. apologies in advance so we got our rescue dog back in June. She was a stray street dog rescued from Romania and brought over by a charity. She was in a right state as you can probably imagine, never been brushed, flead etc. So immediately we booked her in at the vets and had her groomed etc. Her spay wound was infected but a course of antibiotics and genle cleaning sorted this out. We immediately booked her into our local vets and is on the vip check up with monthly worming and flea treatment. The first time we wormed and flead her it was obvious from the immediate reaction and contents of her poo that she had round worms. We have treated her religiously each month with the prescription treatment and have just used the last one we got and I'm still finding worms in her poo. The drops are vet prescribed and I am due to take her back for a 6 month check in the New Year but I just wondered if it was normal for a dog to still have worms. Shouldnt the regular treatment now have cleared her of these? As soon as I apply the monthly treatment it obviously works as I visually see them in her poo for the next week and then nothing. How come I can not break their cycle???
  12. Can anyone recommend any dog friendly pubs around the S5 area please.
  13. Hi, the company we previously used to go round to our houses and draw out a floor plan for us to submit to the SCC for HMO licencing and also to put on our student website site is no longer trading. I have done a Google search but I am getting nowhere: can anyone suggest where to start to find someone please.
  14. Hi, I am a beginner knitter and I am also a volunteer for a dog rescue group. Has anyone got any patterns I could borrow or links to free patterns? thanks in advance
  15. We have got our rescue dog and three cats booked in at Jaycliffe at Rotherham. I have booked on recommendation and they seem to be very efficient even sending photos via facebook. I don't know when you are booking for but I will post a personal review after our stay.
