  1. I'm looking for a mobile hairdesser that will cover Mosborough if anyone could recommend one please? Not too bothered about price it's experience I need xxx
  2. Hi Does anyone have any offers on Hollywood (toe) nails please? Am needing 2 sets (me + friend) for end of April please xx
  3. Hi I'm getting married this summer and looking for a creche service for our child guests. If anyone offers this service or used one could you please let me know. I'm interested to hear what age ranges can be accommodated. Thanks
  4. Oh no thats so awful for you hun I really feel for you! Does your wedding insurance cover you for this? There was a similar case in the papers not so long ago. I have to ask- who is the photographer? Could you PM me if you don't want to write it here. xx
  5. Hi I'm thinking of selling my wedding dress and just looking for some help please! I wondered what other peoples experience of doing this has been or if you have considered buying a preloved dress what you look for? I was thinking of putting it on Ebay but they take so much in commision- I have looked at sellmyweddingdress.com but not sure how popular this is with buyers. I'd hate for it to be sat there for months. Are there any dress agencies in Sheffield that may sell it for me? My dress cost over £1000 in 2009 and is still available but I don't really know how to price it to the 'preloved' market- I would like someone to feel like they got a bargain but don't want to let it go too cheaply. It's also been dry cleaned- do I reflect this in my price? What is the max ypu would pay for preloved???? I'm so sad to let it go but it's just sat in my spare room wardrobe and it seems such a shame TIA Lx
  6. Does anyone know of anywhere around Mosborough with a function room or that caters for private parties? We're trying to arrange my daughters Christening and struggling to find a venue close to the church. We don't really want people to have to drive very far as the Chrstening is quite late in the day anyway. Thanks
  7. Got to agree a little with this... if you don't really like Sheffield then why not relocate altoghther- kill 2 birds with one stone as they say!
  8. Your post made me laugh (in a nice way)... do you really think if we knew how to make £100k a year (apart from the obvious) we'd increase the competition!
  9. Well that's what I thought but you never know!!!
  10. Last year we had our kitchens and bathrooms modernised over the couse of 3 months. We live in a privately owned house and paid for the work ourselves and I'm really sorry but the problems some of you experiencing are no worse than what we experienced then. On several occasions people turned up to do jobs either early or late which delayed progression, wrong things got fitted and had to be refitted and workmen often turned up early in a morning whilst we were trying to get ready for work. We complained and got miffed off but we just had to grin and bear it and remember that it was would be worth it... which it is. Someone mentioned granite worktops, is this proper stone granite or granite effect? If its proper granite then jees I'd live like my house like a building site for years not months knowing what we paid for ours!!
  11. And before anyone says they live on a council estate and keep their house tidy- I'm not disputing you don't but the last time I drove through Parsons Cross there were a hell of a lot of people who didn't
  12. I think there are probably some really lovely people who live on council estates so I wouldn't judge but I'd personally rather work two jobs and stick to private housing- just my way. I bought my own house and have been able to choose which area I live and viewed lots of houses before settling for the right one- which I couldn't imagine not being able to do. Like us, my neighbours all have a mortgage to pay and because they probably see their house as an investment not just a home they proudly keep their houses neat and tidy. At the end of the day you can get s***s on any estate private or council.
  13. I don't understand why people who dress nicely are necessarily snobs??? but neither do I really pay attention to what other people wear unless its either really lovely or really shockingly revealing!! If you've spent money on nice clothes then of course you're going to wear them what else are you supposed to do with them? If it makes you feel better wearing a nice outfit... so what! If you don't care what you wear... think yourself lucky you're not so self concious. And if girls want to totter around in high heels let them... they'll be the ones suffering in 10 years time when their bunions (sp) are sprouting . If everyone dressed the same it'd be a sad place.
  14. Jessops sometimes run sessions where they ask pregnant women to volunteer to be scanned by students. It might be worth asking if they are doing this at the moment and then your daughter will get an extra scan and you could go with her to that one.
  15. You go in the emergency entrance. Its the car park before the main car park you go in for scans- about 25m before on the same stretch of road. Your partner can park in the one of the spaces bays whilst you get settled and then goes to park in the normal car park. You go through the emergency doors and there's a little hatch with a receptionist there who'll show you where to go HTH Lx
