  5. i wish i had the time but sadly I struggle to maintain my own posts in other forums. hope someone comes forward soon Rozee did a fab job (come back all is forgiven )
  6. personally I don't think the co-op will still be going this time next year (surly it struggles to compete price wise to asda and morrisons?). would love to see Spacefun Zone (or another company) take over the entire downstairs building and give this side of sheffield a decent indoor play area for the kids.
  7. well i checked website which said they did have a cash machine but still couldn't find one.... is it hidden somewhere?? (i know i could get cash back but needed £130 and didn't think that was fair when only spending £1)
  8. me again........ was i just being blind.... did they get permission to put an ATM in?? thanks.
  9. re: baby bits (incase anyone else was interested). unfortunatly i will still have to go to morrisons or tesco for baby bits as they don't stock the nappies my boy uses (pull ups) only various different stay dry's. also baby food they had 4 different Ellas Kitchen ranges and a handful of Cow and Gate jars. They did have cow and gate/ aptimal and sma baby milk. so great for emergencies but sadly i can't avoid bigger shops :-(
  10. thanks hun, i know i love it. those basket/ trollys are fab when you are pushing a buggy one handed (or for toddler to use). and the self serve checkouts..... well lets just say my 2yr olds goal in life is now to make lines go beep beep forever!!
  11. ohh i wish that would make it evenbetter then it already is. now despite me going in with 2 kids yesterday i forgot to see if they sold nappies/ wipes/ baby milk.... did anyone else notice?? thanks
  12. hi Nicola, A couple of us wanted to bring our children but we were shocked it was going to cost £2 a session for a 3 month old baby (who lets be fair is going to get nowhere near as much out of it as a 5 year old). I know my nearly 3 year old would enjoy it but unfortunately due to childcare if one goes somewhere so does the other. (for 75p they can both go to a local playgroup for 2 hours!) Any chance you would consider revising prices for under 1's?? Thanks
  13. pretty-in-paint just did a few days at sheffield-on-sea... she was fantastic (£3 a face). Had a brill raport with both children and adults.
  14. conisborough castle short train ride, about £4 entry for adults. gift shop. ruins to walk around. woods opposite. sure i saw toilets and a playground nearby but can't remember
  15. theres loads goin on in hillsborough, baby groups are what you make them - they all have baby toys whether you choose to play with them is up to you. I admit tho there is a hugeeee gap for arty crafty type groups which i'd love to take my boys too (paint and rented houses just don't go well). sure start (childrens centre) run baby massage. it's a myth children need their 16 week jabs to go swimming - have checked with my friend who is a teacher/ lifeguard at ponds forge.
  16. i go with jo frosts naughty spot and 1 minute for every year of age (so 2 mins)... then a kiss cuddle. works with my 2 year old 9 times out of 10.
  17. seems they USED to have a website.... Sheffield Computer Services http://www.sheffieldcomputers.co.uk Address for Sheffield Computer Services 23-27 Taplin Road Sheffield South Yorkshire S6 4JD Telephone number for Sheffield Computer Services Telephone: 0114-232 1197
  18. anther one you can buy from boots. if its not on the shelf with teething meds it's behind the pharmcy counter. I didn't think it was licensed for babies tho.
  19. i wish they would publish their itenery in advance.... if we get there at 12 the bits my toddler (and me) want to see are at 3. if we go at 3 they've been at 12!! sounds like a few more bits this time tho so hoping it'll be good.
  20. I bought some 2 weeks ago.... boots do them and lloyds pharmacies.... they are on the shelf with teething medicines.
  21. have you read their rediculous T&C's......hope they gave you 3 weeks notice too!! suffice to say their website is still running...... try publically shaming them on their facebook page....http://www.facebook.com/bar360sheffield hope you find somewhere tho...
  22. swore by the dentinox teething gel with boy 1. ashton and parsons powders are fab too.
  23. glad i'm not the only one. i let my toddler have cartoonito/ nick jr/ disney/ cbbebies on whenever we are at home. more for background noise. he isn't glued to it tho. he plays around it and occasionally stops for "a slow down" to watch for 10 mins then is off again. he will ask to play outside etc. we've started to let him watch a dvd in bed at night because: a) i had enough of fireman sam 7am-7pm b) he thinks he is grown up and we have no more bedtime arguments cause he wants to watch "my tv". c) we programme it to switch off after 30mins and he knows when it finishes he is to go to sleep....if he doesn't it will be taken away. within 2 days he learnt how to open the player/ put in dvd/ exactly which buttons to press (he is 2 and a half)... he tells me "i press ok now" and puts his finger on the ok button - so he is learning to read by association. i can't see anything wrong so long as he is still getting fresh air and other stimulation -- he would rather play outside then watch tv and puts down anything he is playing with for the chance to cook.
  24. bye rozee good luck. (bet you can't resist logging in every so often to see whats happening!)
