  1. Hi I remember seeing a movie and I want to watch it again but I have forgotten the name of it. Here is all I can remember about it : - American comedy - Film is no older than about 10 years old - Plot surrounds a family. - The child (boy) in the movie likes to sellotape inanimate objects to himself I know there aren't a lot of clues because I can't remember much of it. Can anyone help me out with the name of the film? Thanks in advance Michael
  2. Just a quick update. I contacted my solicitor who confirmed that the cards would have to be repaid in full as stated in the offer. I contacted the mortgage company to ask if the condition could be removed. He sent an email to the underwriters who are currently working on a 4-day turnaround and so I haven't heard back from them yet. In the meantime, I contacted a mortgage broker (thanks Danny_Boy). Mortgage broker put an application forward to another mortgage provider on Monday. Today is Friday and my offer came through today from the new provider with no conditions attached. You guys are the best! Thanks a bunch
  3. Some great advice here. Thank you. I'll call them tomorrow and see what they say. I'll update here just incase the advice might help someone else. Thanks again
  4. No. I've gone direct. There are conflicting messages when I do a Google search. I've put all that I have towards my deposit and so if they want these cards with a £0 balance by the time I complete, I'll need to pull out of buying the house
  5. Hi everyone I have recently received my mortgage offer from Nationwide. At the end of the contract there is a section which shows "Special Conditions" and in this section there is a clause which states : "This offer is issued on the understanding that the following commitments will be repaid on or before completion of this loan: Credit card with an approximate balance of £700 Credit card with an approximate balance of £1500" When I applied for the mortgage the questions relating to Credit Cards were : What is the outstanding balance of your Credit Cards and I put £1000 and the £1800 respectively. The next question was "At the time of completion, what would you expect the balances of these cards to be?" to which, my response was £700 and £1500 respectively. Is this special condition worded REALLY badly or do you interpret it as they want these balances to be £0 on or before completion. I tried to call them my Solicitor on Friday afternoon but he had left for the day and all weekend I have done nothing but worry. Anyone seen this before or had experience of it? Any advice would be gratefully received Thanks in advance Michael
  6. Thought I'd report back in case anyone else ever has to do this. On my laptop, I made an ISO file from the disc and forgot about the disc. The only problem I had then was to somehow get the very large file from my laptop to my tablet. They are both Windows (laptop Windows 10 and tablet Windows and then I used Homegroup to share the file over my home network to copy the file from the laptop to the tablet. The only other option that I had was to use a OTG USB cable which I ordered from eBay before I worked out the solution. Thanks for all the help here Michael
  7. It's a disk from work. It's not an Operating System disk, it is just in-house standalone software. At first I thought it might be possible to connect my tablet to my pc using a USB cable and just drag and drop the ISO image but I don't think it's going to be that easy :/
  8. Thanks Ghozer but I think I read somewhere that I have to make the disk bootable but you may be right
  9. Hi all Can anyone help with this? I'm not completely computer illiterate but I can't figure out a solution for this. I have a Windows 8 laptop and some software (Retail CD) that I'd like to put onto the tablet. The minimum System Requirements for the software are met by the laptop. I figured the best way would be to make a bootable USB flash drive and plug it into the usb slot on the tablet since I don't have an external cd reader/writer. Any ideas how I would do this? What software I'll need to do it on both the laptop and if any, on the tablet. So confused Thanks in advance Michael
  10. Thanks guys, I think I know what I need to do given what has been said. Thanks again
  11. Hello and thanks for dropping by I know that someone on here is going to know the answer to this and I would really appreciate your advice. Here is my question : I am moving home in two weeks and my broadband is going to get cut off next week. I am going to be without broadband for at least a week until I move and then get a new provider at my new property. I like to stream DVDs (which I have ripped) from my iMac to my Smart TV or Roku Media device and I like to play my PS4 with an internet connection. To patch up my time without a (proper) broadband connection, I am considering a mobile broadband solution from EE. Would that be the best solution for (say a maximum) of 3 weeks? Are there other solutions? And, how much data will I need considering that I wouldn't actually be downloading much...Just streaming. Sorry for all the questions and I hope that you can help Thanks in advance Michael
  12. They don't have a karaoke on a Thursday anyway but thanks for the heads-up
  13. Wow...Thanks andrejuan. That's where we'll go then
  14. Hello I have some friends coming across from Germany next Thursday and they have suggested that we go out to a karaoke. I wouldn't normally go to a karaoke and so I don't know where there would be one...especially on a Thursday evening. Can anyone recommend a good night out at a karaoke this coming Thursday night? I'd be looking for somewhere in the City Centre, Walkley, Crookes, Ecclesall or anywhere else that's fairly central. Thanks for reading Michael
  15. Thanks andyofborg ---------- Post added 18-03-2014 at 21:06 ---------- Thanks very much for your input Medusa
