  1. I had my wedding dress alterations done by a fantastic lady called Tricia who works from home in Parson's Cross (found her recommended by others on here). Think prices are probably kept more reasonable by her working from home. She's very experienced in bridal and other alterations, as well as being lovely! Sure she would be happy to help - phone number is 0114 246 1890 (available on google if you search her name/sheffield dressmaker).
  2. Been thinking about going down to owlerton stadium, was wondering if anyone had been, and if so whether it is fun or a bit wierd if you're not into dogs! Sorry to show my naivety about such things but what do you actually do? Do you bet on which one is going to win or just watch? And is it smart or scruffy?
  3. i've never seen a phoney seller! always try to buy one if i have change, it's a small amount to help someone who really is trying to improve themselves.
  4. Do you still need people? I'm up for it some monday, is it every week that she needs somebody?
  5. i went to marrakesh last summer and absolutely loved it. So much culture, very warm and you're meant to cover up but in touristy areas like marrakesh you won't have a problem, we were in the market areas in shorts and t shirts and noone even took a second glance. Make sure you get lots of souvenirs, there are some beautiful things, very nice (v v cheap) jewellery and loads of pretty things. Ooh and beautiful freshly squeezed orange juice for about 2 dirhams (15p?) If you get a taxi make sure you agree the price before the journey otherwise they charge much more - if you arrange it they are very very cheap. But there are loads of tiny kids selling jewellery which is a bit sad. And monkeys! they make you hold their monkeys and then take a picture and charge you! But the monkeys are so adorable! Got me all excited reminiscing! Hope you have a great time.
  6. i can second diprobase, it was really helpful with mine, doesn't sting as some others do and is very soothing. make sure you change bedsheets etc regularly as pollen especially at this time of year, but dustmites etc too can aggravate eczema.
  7. great, thanks a lot i'll give them a call tomorrow!
  8. thanks... haha yep i was stoney sober which makes it even worse! didn't get a receipt (sounds like a comedy of errors doesn't it!) but hopefully they'll realise they've got too much cash... the other twist is that it was a royal bank of scotland machine and a halifax card, so do i ask halifax or royal bank of scotland?
  9. was at an atm this weekend and it spat my card out when i tried to get some money out, so i put it in and withdrew some more money fine but i've just been on my banking and it took my money both times, does anyone know what you do to try and get it back?!
