Bee deaths: EU to impose pesticide restriction

Google it, ask Greenpeace, ask RSPB, ask any wildlife protection group. ITS EVERYBODYS DAMN BUSINESS !!!!!! -
I hear that many surgeries [including mine] are now doing the 'phone at 8-30' lark to get an appointment. Whats it all about ?? It makes planning work etc very difficult. If you tell them an appointment the day after will be OK its still the same answer,'phone at 8-30' Its beyond me..

Bring back the treadmill, picking hokum, breaking rocks. We all know this is Tory election time rubbish. Offenders usually hate work, therefore they offend. Its simple, give em hard graft to do, BUT treat them fairly. 'fraid the Torys have no intention of doing anything. [i WOULD LOVE to see IDS breaking rocks, the nasty so and so wouldn't have the strength]

How come they get away with it ?? An ordinary bod used to go to jail for non payment of rates. Baffled.

Perhaps the Chavs from Greengate Lane Co-op will move up there. The whole place stinks of weed and you are forever falling over BMX's. I would have hoped that due to the recent terrible events on Greengate Lane our local Constabulary would make a little more effort. A little bit of Police prescence would be a start..................or do they only make a showing when the area is under the spotlight. [When TV cameras are there you cant shift for police].

Motorcycle shops in 70's Sheffield
Tradescanthia replied to carsupplier's topic in Sheffield History & Expats
I remember Frank Smith and Arthur Smith. I also remember Alf Parker, my dad used to help him out at weekends. He used to dabble in speedway a bit. My dad had a few combo's and used to garage them in some old stables near to Frank Smiths. He was always having petrol and batteries nicked. Biking was different in those days. It was biking, not posing and poncing around in the latest leathers. Nowt looks dafter than walking around in leathers with kneesliders and that funny 'hump' on the back. They look like Quasimodo. Bikes were transport, not toys. I still fancy ES2's, B31's and the like................[dreaming again]. The older I get the better the bikes were. -
It looks a nice bit of equipment, just play around with it, you cant spoil 'owt. The more you use it, the more you will understand it. I'm no expert, I have a couple of cameras and take loads of shots, deleting most of 'em, but now and again I take a good one. Have fun, its a good hobby. Learn as you go along, a bit at a time. Advice from experts goes straight over my head. Just experiment and enjoy, you've got a decent camera to play with.

Any Photos Of Highgreen Or Chapeltown?
Tradescanthia replied to Robbie Lee's topic in Sheffield History & Expats
Just play around with Google, its easy. -
Had a letter today informing me that Sainsburys has had its planning application to build in Highgreen refused. It had applied for a shop and a [so far un- named] fast food outlet to be built on the site of the Old Cart and Horses pub. The site actually sits adjacent to a traffic island so ot would cause havoc. A 200 year old building was to be demolished, this building deserves better. OK, its run down now, but it deserves something more in keeping with its history and its location. Thank you, City Council for your commonsense decision.

What do you consider to be todays biggest evils?
Tradescanthia replied to Mister M's topic in General Discussions
Every country has Torys, they call them Fascists or Junta's or Nationalists, but they all fit the same description. -

Torys...............they are the biggest evil. They are at their happiest when they are inflicting pain and misery on some poor sod. -
The power of Social Media.............the most effective way of naming and shaming. The little guy does have power...........

Another AAA ratings downgrade for the UK
Tradescanthia replied to I1L2T3's topic in General Discussions
A good thread with some excellent posts. No arguing that cuts are needed............its just that its the most vulnerable are being targeted by the Torys. "The broadest shoulders should carry the heaviest load", a quote by someone anon. but still relevant today. -

Lets sell Osborn, any bids over 25p ?????? I thought not. He wont take any heed of warnings or advice, he's too busy bleeding and abusing the vulnerable. He blames the poor for their own predicament. A really sad man........ -

Pity she didn't move to the United States, her and Ronny Reagan would have got on like a house on fire.............................they were both losing their minds. Simultaneous lunacy ?? Now there's a thought.
