Empathy on SF ?? You are having a laugh. The forum is full of self centred morons as usual. Little nobody's, still wet behind the ears and with a very long way to go. Humanity is a rare commodity on SF............ -

Mine were taken out at the Royal Hospital, West Street. Jelly and Ice Cream made it all worthwhile. -
What is the point of studying English literature?
Tradescanthia replied to fatrajah's topic in General Discussions

New Sheffield Newspaper Required
Tradescanthia replied to BEDROCK's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
I reckon newspapers have had their day. The internet has seen to that. The Star is just bumbling along trying to delay the inevitable. Everything changes. -

When Milliband and Balls stated they would not change any of the Tory austerity measures and would carry on in the same direction they killed Labour. Milliband is just another Tory and Balls HAS NO balls.

I saw them at Don Valley a few years ago, fantastic !! I saw them do the famous Stones in the Park gig just after Brian Jones died [circa 1968/9] They are and will continue to be a legend.

Bank holiday to be named 'Thatcher Day'??
Tradescanthia replied to Mister M's topic in General Discussions
We could have an EXTRA bank holiday on the anniversary of the evil bitches funeral. That way we could preserve her memory forever........ -
I hate the way that disadvantaged groups are vilified on this forum, I myself am somewhat disabled and some of the posts hurt. I don't post anywhere near as often as I used to...........its a waste of time arguing with fools. Good luck TeaFan

Not accurate ?? Catherine Bailey is/was a BBC researcher. I have known the house and area for 50 years or more and her account is accurate AND interesting. Its history you can see, however I do find £25 a bit steep, that's £50 for the two of us.
-
That's my next step, good thinking.
-
That's the book, but £45 is beyond my means. Thanks anyway Joto.

I want to buy a copy of a book describing life in Highgreen, particularly the old original schools. If anyone has a copy or knows where I could get one it would be much appreciated. The title is 'Sit up Straight'. I don't know the authors name.

Why delete ???? Just don't post if you are bored. I go periods when I 'cant be bothered'. SF is useful for getting help and info quickly, not just for sparring. It has its faults but its the best we've got, and its only US who can improve it. You cant change anything by leaving. We spar and argue and often insult, but we also help each other with info and support. I take Forum holidays, other people call them Bans.............:hihi: -

I used to see Frank at the Greengate, Highgreen in the 60's. How old is he now ?? He had the double necked guitar if my memory serves me well. Top bloke.
