Much as it is a big blow and very sad there are still positives about Sheffield centre many companies have invested heavily in the area and in fairness they are not as popular as they used to be can’t remember the last time I bought something from them or went in t the store.

You can’t queue on Blackstock rd and with good reason during earlier lockdowns there were long queues meaning traffic that wanted to go straight on had to go on the opposite side of the road or wait 10-15 minutes in the queue for the tip which is never going to happen.Was an accident waiting to happen.

No excuse for fly tipping and would never do it. But Blackstock road does not help the situation. There is currently big demand yet their hours have not changed at all to reflect this and could be much longer I mean closed all day wednesday come on. In my experience the only time you can get on easily is in the week when its raining hard!

Yes basically scammers have found a way to text you and it adds it on to a previous text number you have received texts from making people think it’s from them when it’s not.

Yes I never answer unless I know the number. If its important they will leave a message, Never had a scammer leave a message! Worryingly scammers have found a way of making a message appear in a "string" that looks like it is from a legit number such as a bank!

Could be,One thing for sure something has gone wrong. If you don't know a few reliable ones chances are you are going to struggle or pay over the odds or both.

A delivery I was expecting from royal mail did not turn up got a text to ask me to re arrange delivery the link had the post office app attached. Was a scam but very convincing.

Just to make things worse cadent have now dug up the path outside every single house on our road to lay new pipes. Ok they have filled the holes but still looks a mess and not putting money on how long it will be before they start re appearing, Thought they were sopped to do this before the resurfacing?

I have a cat who loves to catch them and believe me they are everywhere really big as well. She bought one in alive the other day a particularly large one and let it go in the house so had to get pest control in who confirmed the problem has got considerably worse over recent years with fast food or the disposing of it being a major contributing actor.

Old thread but still relevant. Have been getting some work done on the house including new kitchen and getting tradesman has been a nightmare. Everyone saying they have huge amounts of work on and really hard to get even one quote let alone more. All done now but not been easy. I actually dont usually bother with multi quotes if someone comes and it seems fair will give them the work. just as well really! If I had my time again would defiantly go into one of the home improvement related trades! Anyone else had the same recently?

I agree with you they could have at least written to or communicated to patients explaining what’s going on. Some patients have seeing John or Mark for literally decades.

I ended up going private Flint on Abbey Lane are very good and are particularly good for people who are nervous but cheap they are not! I know a lot of people are struggling at present sure you will get sorted.

WOW thats a real shame if true.Known them both for years and went to school with John. Looking at their Facebook reviews it looks like you are right and they have sold the practice and moved on maybe they have taken early retirement as I think they were both in their 50's.

Well I know that snow and ice cause issues but the amount of damage on some roads I saw today looks almost like they need a full resurface. Am obviously not qualified to say its been done on the cheap but many roads in the Peaks exposed to serious weather every winter hold up much better which leads me to believe it may have.The roads around Ringinglow village are particularly bad with holes everywhere.

Well having driven from Lodge moor to Millhouses can only say Amey are going to be very busy many roads are a complete mess with pot holes everywhere.Has the weather exposed the poor quality of the work done?

Used to swear but these guys brilliant service but not so much recently. Got them out for a quote recently nothing really bad but much as I dislike pushy sales they just did not seem very interested in getting the work very different from the previous time when they could not do enough. One of the problems is the home improvement market is absolutely booming at present and there’s a big delay in getting things done they are currently quoting June for orders.

It’s quite easy to find a diet that will allow you to lose weight but it’s much more about mental attitude than people realise.Many people enjoy and look forward to eating high calorie foods.

I work in a supermarket and totally agree despite their best efforts there are few shortages and we are no busier than you would expect this time of year.

Agree likely to be COVID related as well as the warm summer.Parks as well as the Peak District have been over run with people many having bbq‘and picnics and some showing very little respect leaving food debris and litter behind.
