  1. Sturrock said if we stayed up it would be a greater achievement than last year. With the resources, luck, referees and injuries we have had this season I think he's right. We are now just 201 behind Norwich in the best attendances table.(ITV Football Statistics) Their last home game is against Wolves so I think they will have a full house. It is a brilliant achievement to finish second but it would be great to finish top. They have no other clubs to compete with within 50 odd miles and came down last year expecting to win this league and with million-pound players to watch. We were 2 divisions below them last year, are running on a shoestring and have been fighting relegation all season only scoring 36 goals. It is astonishing we are so close but as we are I appeal to all Wednesdayites to bring a friend to the Reading match to congratulate PS and the squad, join in a carnival atmosphere and push us to the top of the attendance table.
  2. With Kids for a Quid there should be a decent crowd on Saturday. What a miserable day at Crewe. Wet, freezing and Wednesday put in their worst performance I've seen this season. Lets put it behind us, give Worthington a good reception then get behind the team from the kick off. If results go well, beating Norwich and Brighton will do it. My user name is the date of the first Hillsborough game I went to. As a kid I went to all the grounds around me, Forest,Chesterfield,Mansfield, Derby then I visited Hillsborough. The atmosphere was just different to all the others, more genuine and passionate and I knew Wednesday were the team for me. Through all the years of heartache I've never regretted it. I still get a tingle when I get to the top of the kop steps! Yes, I did go to Bramall Lane aswell, but I'd forgotten about that (well, you would wouldn't you!) Come on Wednesday!
  3. See my post on the Wednesday/United attendance thread. We're second to Norwich in the attendance table and with a final push could finish the season top. Remarkable considering our league postion and what we've had to put up with in the last few years! We need good attendances in the last 3 games to finish top of something! and more importantly to cheer the Owls on to safety! Get as many Owls fans to Hillsborough on Saturday!
  4. According to ITV statistics page we are second to Norwich in the attendance table with 3 games left. United are 7th. Considering our league position it would be great if we could finish top. Norwich have Leicester, QPR and Wolves left so should maintain their good average. Our last match, Reading should be good but we need good crowds against Burnley and Norwich to make a final push for top of the table and, even more important to help the Wednesday secure our survival in this league. Encourage all wednesdayites to get down to Hillsborough on saturday and sing your hearts out for the lads. Come on, Wednesday!
