  1. A MAJOR British car brand is set to delay creating EVs and will continue make petrol models well into the next decade. Aston Martin recently pushed back its plans to launch its first electric car in 2025 to 2027. Lawrence Stroll, executive chairman of Aston MartinCredit: Alamy Now, executive chairman Lawrence Stroll has said there will "always be demand" for combustion-engined cars - such as its V8 and V12 models. Like its rivals, the 111-year-old manufacturer will have to grapple with a ban on new petrol or diesel cars in Britain from 2035. But the motors boss pledged to keep selling them for as long as he is legally allowed to. Stroll told Autocar: "For as long as we're allowed to make ICE cars, we'll make them. Good on em. This ridiculous fascination with unreliable, dangerous and over priced cars that are worse for the environment than internal combustion engines needs to stop. Electric definitely ISNT the future in my opinion. 2. That's nice. It's Wednesday int it. Come on, say it's Wednesday and I'll leave you alone 😁
  3. Whenever I smell germolene it takes my back to being with my Nan. Sometimes when I'm not feeling up to the mark and I want to cheer myself up I get the germolene out and remember my Nan.
  4. Agreed. Retail staff often get the brunt. It still upsets me to see my local shops with staff that have to wear body cams for such crap money. If its so dangerous they need bodycams then they deserve danger money AND better protection.
  5. Absolutely shocking. I read somewhere that some shop workers wear stab vests because of local gang violence. I think it was the star. If its true that's an awful way to have to live.
  6. When I get to old age I'll bare that in mind.
  7. True story @Padders πŸ˜‰ I keep it in my office in a safe I got for a ridiculously cheap price. It took 6 of us to move it though. That wasn't fun 😬 But the up side is if I need quick cash then it's a short trip and i can grab it, buy what I need and replace it over time. It came in VERY handy a some years ago when we needed to move house on short notice and even came in handy a couple of months ago when all the local card machines went down. I'm grateful to my Nan who got me started saving cash for emergencies many years ago.
  8. Experience tells me it's always handy to have a healthy stash of cash so I have easy access to a few thousand for emergencies.
  9. See mine quite often. He's into fishing, Gaming and has a subscription to Porn Hub that my sister knows nothing about. If I was to guess what he's doing now I'd say he's losing online at FIFA.. Again. Or utilising his subscription.
  10. First Minister Humza Yousaf's brother-in-law has appeared in court charged with abduction and extortion following an incident where a man fell from a block of flats and later died. Ramsay El-Nakla made no plea during the appearance at Dundee Sheriff Court. The 36-year-old is accused of committing the offences while acting with three other people. Ryan Munro was seriously injured in the fall in Morgan Street on 10 January and died a week later. Mr El-Nakla is accused of placing Ryan Munro in a state of fear or alarm, making threats of violence and intimidation and detaining him against his will, while acting with co-accused Stephen Stewart, Victoria McGowan and Jennifer Souter. He is also accused of placing Ryan Munro in a state of fear or alarm and apprehension of loss of liberty, making threats of violence and extorting him by threats, while acting with the three co-accused. Both offences are alleged to have taken place between 9 and 10 January at an address on Dundee's Morgan Street. Mr El-Nakla, who is the brother of Mr Yousaf's wife Nadia El-Nakla, was released on bail and the case was continued for further examination. Three other people were arrested and charged and appeared in court last week following the same incident. Jennifer Souter, 38, appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court last week charged with the culpable homicide of Mr Munro. Stephen Stewart, 50, and Victoria McGowan, 41, were charged with abduction and extortion following the incident. Ms Souter is alleged to have threatened, intimidated and detained the 36-year-old man against his will with a view to extorting money from him and placing him in a state of fear and alarm. It is claimed she committed culpable homicide by putting Mr Munro in fear for his safety and causing him to fall from a second floor window, resulting in fatal injuries. She made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody by Sheriff John Rafferty. Neither Mr Stewart nor Ms McGowan made any plea to the charge against them and both were granted bail. 11. Not all heros wear capes. Well done πŸ‘
  12. Yes I did. 🀣 I didn't think anything of it until I got back to school and found id acquired a new nickname.
  13. I almost drowned when I was a lad. I remember being scared, having to be dragged out and what have you. I never saw my life flash before my eyes. Although when getting changed afterwards I saw Bomber Graham wiping his tackle with his swimming trunks. First time I'd met him. I've met him a few times since but for some reason that was the most 'memorable' 😬 Additional. He'd been for a swim, he wasn't being a weirdo πŸ‘
  14. The fact you apologise is appreciated and so draws a line under that for me. Thank you.πŸ‘
  15. My two penneth. I got behind you SheffieldForum, I was excited about what you would bring to the Forum. I like some of the changes, not all but that's life. I was very happy to continue posting, start threads etc. I even agree with most of the rules (and those I don't agree with I'm still happy to follow) but what I can't get behind is when there are rules regarding racism, ageism and sexism (all of which I fully agree with) yet you on more than one occasion highlight "Middle aged White Men" in a very negative way, like its something to be ashamed of or our points are less valid, well I find that hypocritical and insulting and it definitely left a bad taste. Like I say, just my two penneth and if posting this results in my account being banned then I'll accept that, move on and wish the forum all the best for the future. This will be my only contribution like this on the open forum. I do have more to say but this is the thing that has really irked me. Anything else I'd like to say will be either in the feedback section or via the Help Desk πŸ‘
  16. No sponsorship just tickets and they are Β£40 and Β£60 They may seem a tad pricey but believe me, it's incredible value for money. The fights are technical, fast paced and very exciting to watch. Two local fighters to watch for, Ben Longstaff who fights out of Fight Unit from Barnsley and Nathan Riddle who fights out of Powers Martial arts in Sheffield. Two excellent fighters with great local support.. There are also 5 young fighters from Pride Martial Arts in Sheffield. Jake, Alfie, Leon, Jakub and Holly aka Thug Life. MTGP is a global event and is definitely growing year on year. And it's In SHEFFIELD πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Well Rotherham really but that's just me being picky 😁 https://mtgp.co.uk/events/mtgp-sheffield-18-05-24/ ⬆️More information is posted as the date draws closer. Good luck to everyone. Especially @Thug Life πŸ₯Š
  17. Well, Easter IS a busy time of year what with all that chocolate and hot tick buns people have to eat.

  19. I'd sooner trust my own eyes, experience and other real people's opinion over some ridiculously inaccurate AI that appears to be modeled on Boris Johnson if it's honesty is anything to go by.
  20. That's not the west street I know. That writeup is overly optimistic at best, utterly dishonest at worst.
  21. Sorry to hear about your daughter's problem. My advice? Get her into martial arts πŸ‘
