  4. I've already got my tickets ordered, should sell out very fast. With regards albums, earlier albums are a bit different, try Low Edges or Late night Final.

Check out debbies forum for the the best travel advice to Cuba http://www.debbiescaribbeanresortreviews.com/cuba/cuba.html I have been to Havana and its great, many great restaurants down obispo (a street) all with music. We stayed at a decent branded hotel - Melia and it was ok, not sure about smaller places, but there will be many on the debbies forum who can give you advice on guest houses etc.
  12. Simple solution Take the top and bottom of a can of tuna, worked a treat for me
  13. I went last night and had a great time. The beer was good and the bands were great. There was alsorts of music from Pink Floyd tributes to a Glam Rock band. There was a good selection of food as well. Had all types of beers - feel a bit rough at work today:gag: I must say this was Beer Fest was far superior to the Sheffield effort last year.
  14. Phan without doubt - always amazes me the useless information he can recall and quote:hihi:
  15. I let Richard Hawley know about the comments about his dad and he replied with these comments. "John Firminger and Gaspin Gus have film of the sun sound club at the staniforth arms with my dad,Alan Wood,Steve Denton and Dave Cannon and Gus as a young man, violet may is on it too.I have some footage of stuff taken of my dad in the Lorne Gibson trio from Malta,Germany and Lybia just a thought they might be interested" Hope it brings back some memories.
  16. My daughter used to go to Theatretrain, and she loved it, they put on a professional show at the Palace Theatre in Manchester which she loved and it was an experience never to forget for her. The downside is that this is a profit making organisation and everything is costly, lessons, costumes, outfits, tickets for shows, travel to shows, all adds up.
  17. I also went last night, after meeting in the Pomona we went to find the venue. Couple of points to note I enjoyed sampling a few ales, although I did try to find the Champion beers but couldnt find any signs or labels. Wrap up warm and dont wear your best shoes as Andy has said - bit cold and muddy Toilets leave a bit to be desired - hate to see them on Saturday night. The Band last night were a bit unusual to say the least, I am sure they are very original and very talented, but I would have thought you would need a more mainstream sound to get the punters in the mood for drinking Shame about the English weather......
  18. The Original Kebabish do outside catering - Sharrow lane
  19. There are loads at Abbeydale sports club, just along the road, pop in and see what they have and when. I know they do aerobics, yoga, pilates, circuit training and you dont have to be a member you can just turn up.
  20. Try the Abbcom new club operating once a month at the abbeydale picture house. http://www.abbcom.co.uk/
  21. I am member no 29 and still here, just dont post much now, I have a life these days.....
  22. Dubai can be as cheap or as expensive as you make it. Designer shops are the same as here, food can be expensive in the hotles but conversly you can get an all you can eat curry for £2 and very good at that. You can also eat cheaply in the malls as most places are unlicensed. Boozein hotels restaurants pushes your bill up. Go to Karama for fake goods bags jeans etc if thats what you want. For Malls - Mall of Emirates, Bur Juman Mall, Wafi City. Take an abra across the creek - great fun for 5p Wild Wadi is ace - the only water park where you dont have to walk hills. Temps should be ok this time of year. Go horse racing it should be starting up again soon Take a 4x4 desert safari Most of all enjoy its a phenominal place
  23. I have a friend who works out there and I visit often, it can be a great life out there, housing rent is expensive but most expat type jobs include it. Its a very safe place, there is a great social scence, but you have to respect the muslim/arab culture. Food and eating out is awesome with all the multicultures living there and can be as cheap or as expensive as you like.
