If the Royal Oak is at No 23 Freedom Road, does anyone know what happened to the houses between there and No 45 Freedom Road? I have found that a relative of mine lived at No 39 and then at No 41 in the 70's but they aren't there now??
Kitsons coaches were across from Wednesday ground where old Charlie Browns Tyres was. They also had the old EMCR recycling centre as their garage to house their coaches overnight and the old Bramall Gold Rooms were their waiting rooms and 'dining rooms' for travellers.
When we had new shoes, we weren’t allowed to wear them until Dad had put Stick-a-soles on them to make them wear better! He always did them on the hobbing foot. He also put extra rubber heels on flat shoes when they were new before we could wear them.
Does anyone know what happened to the missing houses at the bottom of Freedom Road, they seem to go up to number 21 and then there’s a space until number 46. What happened to the ones in between? I think they were there in the 70’s/80’s.
