  1. I’m guessing but I’m sure it was the actual Tram Train itself as I’m sure I’ve read it was pretty close to parkgate platform. And I read on Twitter when it was only that accident that had occurred before the carbrook incident that tram tickets were being accepted on Northern trains because of the disruption on the tracks which says to me that the incident happened on the tracks where only the tram uses and not trains aswell.
  2. There was two incidents on Friday night involving trams. The one at Carbrook and someone got hit while on the tracks by the TramTrain at parkgate. That person survived luckily so I think that’s where the confusion was when it was reported to be 2 deaths.
  3. Lets give stagecoach supertram some credit at least they are consistent as they stuck two fingers up to the public last year when rail replacement was on as they said they wouldn’t be running replacement busses. SYPTE had to step in like they have this year.
  4. Apparently not. Tickets will be accepted on stagecoach and first buses instead. Although I’m pretty sure no buses run on Park Grange Road nowadays.
  5. Asked a conductor this morning if timetables are going to change soon as trams are getting a little busier with schools going back. Answer was no idea however he did say that trams would be closing for 2 days on the 4th/5th April with no trams running anywhere because of Rail Replacement in town centre. Wasn’t these only done 3/4 years ago? Where do they get these rails from a kids train set. Useless!!
  6. With stagecoach pulling the SL services it basically ends all ties between the bus and trams operated by stagecoach which I would think that stagecoach are ready to give the trams back to SYPT. They maybe was hoping that tram train would be a success but its kind of failed and they are due to pay for everything on tram train side from October as it was only a 2 year trial from the government in which they paid for everything so they may try and end contract early as that will be more costs on top of what you say there already 2 million per year losses. Rumour has it that redundancy’s has already started in the company with managers on the list.
  7. Got a friend who works on trams and they’ve said that SL1/A busses are being scrapped entirely.
