Thank you for the reply. I thought I was on the Laycock Engineering forum. Laycocks was in Sheffield and Uncle Albert was there during the war and for a number of years after. Roy

I have just become aware of this forum and wonder whether any of the members have memories of Albert Godber who was Chief Engineer at the company. My dad was the youngest of 12 children and so there was almost a generation gap between him and his elder brother Albert. The last time I met Uncle Albert was at my sister’s wedding in 1963. Albert’s son became foundry manager. I am clearly an old man and currently live in Canada but would love to have any memories of Uncle Albert. Roy Godber
