  1. Do the above or better still report it to the Local Land & Property Gazetteer (LLPG) or Street Naming & Numberng (SN&N) department of your local council. Sheffield LLPG http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/adoptions-and-records/llpg Sheffield SN&N http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/roads-and-transport/adoptions-and-records/naming-numbering
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_famous_residents_of_Sheffield
  3. Some idiots just pull them up before others can appreciate then anyway! Thank for the pics!
  4. Again, spot on, but this whole tread has turned a bit silly, see ya!
  5. It was all going well until "Oasis", they haven't done anything decent since 1995!
  6. Again, spot on, he's a bit of a prat and to be honest i don't really listen to the album with the same frame of mind after hearing him bang on about Coventry all the time and how everything not from Coventry is rubbish... i mean... Coventry for gods sake!?
  7. That is a very good point. I like the AM's but they do come across as complete morons in press interviews and on TV.
  8. I don't think the two topics should be mixed up. Foster carers who smoke shouldn't be allowed to look after children - i agree with that. Smoking doesn't make you a bad or good parent or person, but the question needs to be asked whether you as a parent are happy to continue smoking, knowing that one day your beloved child will definitely see you die a slow and horrible death - is it right for people to put other people through that eventual trauma? If a parent doesn't mind their child going through that - i don't think that is a good decision the parent is making.
  9. Yes, Leadmill Bridge pub is The Plough - brilliant place, exceptional food!
  10. That is fine, but the thread is about Foster carers who smoke being banned from looking after children under 5 years old - it is asking the publics opinion on this and the general consensus seems to be in agreement with it.
  11. Have you seen the weather forecast? It looks terrible with risk of snow on Sat or Sun!
  12. Did you read my post? "good parents wouldn't smoke as they wouldn't want to put their child through the eventual pain of having to see their parents die slowly and painfully!" I don't think that really needs anything adding to it!
  13. Smoking is a ridiculous thing to do, so this seems like a ridiculous rule to match the mindless act - I'm all for it! Do smokers live in denial, don't they see what smoking does to people - good parents wouldn't smoke as they wouldn't want to put their child through the eventual pain of having to see their parents die slowly and painfully!
  14. You can have mine... a complete waste of time!
  15. I'd gladly wrap a baseball bat around anyone that was causing damage to my property or family! Does that make me as bad as them, yes probably for that instance, but for the other 99% of my life as a law abiding citizen that feels at a loss when faced with the continuous social decline in this country...i can live with it!
  16. Over 12 years since i left, but at the time the standard was very good - i passed by two other possible schools i could have gone to near home (Herries and Firth Park) just to go there and i'd say it was worth it. Not sure about now, usually these specialist / technology schools are poor in other areas, but this should tell you: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/league_tables/default.stm
  17. I didn't so much mean the container or the vehicle used, more the ability of someone to drive a horsebox that nobody recognised up to the stable, coax a 17 hand horse into it (quietly) and then drive off!
  18. True, the Rising Sun and the Ranmoor Inn are far better places to spend your money!
  19. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/south_yorkshire/7302111.stm Terrible, but he must have been very hard to steal and equally hard to conceal! Somebody out there should see something sooner or later - keep your eyes peeled everyone!
  20. Hmmm...good point! This is also a good point, but don't know how to multi-quote, so BasilRathbon actually contributed something useful to a thread:
  21. For example, these drunk teenagers weren't in a pub were they, nor did they worry about the price of the cheap alcohol they were supping. The government must realise that to simply keep on taxing people out of the things they enjoy isn't going to solve this countrys social problems and willl only cause resentment: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lancashire/7291985.stm P.S. Sadly there are cases of this happening absolutely everywhere! Stop the sale of alcohol to minors, 18 year olds don't usually hang about streets and parks getting drunk in gangs - unless they are the socially retarded type!
  22. Don't be so foolish! The sick if from all the underage kids drinking cheap lager / cider purchased from supermarkets or local shops. When will people learn? Kids get drunk on whatever is cheapest and acts the quickest - so its cheap spirits and puke all the way, while the person who wants to go in a pub and enjoy a drink is the one paying for it all. This coutry is on its backside!
  23. I don't think they're franchises - the ones in my example are both Esso stations, but i couldn't tell you who actually runs them. Its not so much of a theory as an observation, but yes like you say Hull would be happy if that was the case - although isn't that crude oil refineries for things like plastics and make up and not so much petroleum producers? Tried finding out quickly, but nothing came up. I did find this though: 2008 Duty Increases and this http://www.energyinst.org.uk/education/coryton/images/pipeline_network.gif http://www.hse.gov.uk/pipelines/mahpinfosheet.htm So places further away from terminals may expect to see higher prices?
