Reliable and friendly volunteers needed for outdoor charity event on Sunday 8th March 2020.
The event is called Sheffield Together, which is a walk/run through Ecclesall Woods. Sheffield Together is an annual event organised by Cavendish Cancer Care, a Sheffield-based charity which supports local cancer patients and their families. We need your help! We're looking for lots of reliable and friendly volunteers to act as marshals on the day. You'll be asked to cheer people on as they run around the course, and to help direct people the right way. The event will start at 9:30am, so you'll be needed at 7:30am at the latest (exact times to be confirmed) for the event de-brief and to walk round the route. This volunteering is perfect for anyone wanting some events/charity experience, to meet new people, and to have some fun out in the beautiful ancient woodland.
Sheffield Together sees about 120-160 people take part each year. Participants can choose to walk or run one of two distances through Ecclesall Woods, all to support and raise money for Cavendish Cancer Care.
