Gerard Gamble

Apparently, there are a lot of Gambles in Sheffield . My Dad was born in Copper St in 1913 ( he used to tell me great stories about the Italian community in that area, and also about the Gang Wars) He attended St Vincent's Church. When the houses in that area were demolished,  the family moved to the Wybourn but then ended up at Ecclesfield/Parson Cross.

I am a member of the Gamble family who originated from Sheffield. I was born and raised in Barnsley but I am very proud of my Sheffield roots. I am trying to make contact with other members of the extended family?

Apparently, my Grandmother was an orphan who was raised by Nuns at the Convent at Burngreave. That would have been in the late 1800's, early 1900's. Does anyone have any knowledge of how I can get access to the records kept by the Convent, or the Catholic Church?
