This is it in a nutshell. I'd agree there are far too many people chomping at the bit to be offended about things. They need to grow up a bit. However, the examples you give, like Danny Baker seem to be jumped on, whereas this has been accepted as a sick joke. I like very close to the knuckl jokes and whince at Frankie Boyle type stuff, while laughing, but these examples seem to make it one way traffic.

It should only be free to those who need it. It doesn't have to be means tested as such. DWP can inform TV licensing (with consent) if the household is eligible for it , or the household ticks a box on the licence application that they are entitled to it free, allowing TV licensing to get the ok from DWP. Can be simple and easy. Spend the money on something more worthwhile.

He said teaching them about LGBT issues makes them susceptible to grooming. I assume he meant by third parties outside of school, not the teacher, or the teaching is grooming. I disagree with him, on my understanding, but your reading of it is different.

Does water come through the ceiling or down the wall when it rains? Is the wall damp? Is it flooding or damp? Do you mean its an extension?

Wrong. If he's inciting hatred, it's crime whether it is based on religion or sexual orientation. Then it becomes a debate if his comment is just misinformed stupidity or hate speech.

Maybe, but its also a thread about cycling to work. A big factor for people not doing it is the danger. So roads being safer for them and the ability to cycles (sensibly) on paths just seems common sense to me.

Different opinions all well and good, and I think he can voice them, but I don't get why he thinks it makes kids more susceptible to grooming. Also a bit rich given all the church abuse that has been happening.

You could say the same for a cyclist being hit by a car. It did get a bit sweaty, the pair of you are pushing it towards a Part 2 😉

On some, and some roads. My take on it is, does it really matter? If people are acting sensibly and it doesn't cause any issues, then just get on with it. People could run fast on pavements and bump into old biddies, bit they're still allowed. I'd just sweat the big stuff.

Those lanes would need traffic lights, to stop collisions. Would the pedestrians or cyclists jump them most???? Oh, sperate lanes for electric wheelchairs too. They're the worst offenders all round.
