  1. Yes; makes me wonder how he managed three shops. Just hand everything to a bookkeeper/accountant? Any idea how I find the value of his frames? I've visited bike shops and the millennials have never heard of him. I don't know if it has a rarity value or just scrap. But it's a lovely frame.
  2. Thank you so much! But does a HH frame have any value? This is a light weight frame; I carried it up three flights of an Edinburgh tenement in the 80s. I know it's been superseded by titanium and carbon fibre, but it's a good racing/road frame. I just don't know what its value is. The whole bike was insured for £300 at the time. I'd like to sell it rather than give it to a charity if possible.
  3. Hello. I have a Henry Holmes frame and am looking for any info on his frames, if it has any value and what I should ask for it. And anything about the man and his racing career. While this thread is old I hope there is someone who can help me.
  4. Yes it does! Three shops seems quite successful. I suspect it's standard for someone else to make the frame; would this be to HHs' specification? Any idea what would have made this unique? Thank you so much for your reply.
  5. I'm looking for info on the cyclist Henry Holmes. All I know so far is he may have been a velodrome racer and possibly had a shop in Sheffield. I have a really nice Henry Holmes bike frame that was purchased in Edinburgh and I wonder if a job lot had been purchased when the bike shop closed. Anyone know anything about this person? Outside of google searches, does anyone know how would I find out about historical velodrome racers?
