  1. Join Sheffield Hospitals Charity on our annual sponsored walk to raise vital funds to support the amazing NHS hospitals and staff providing excellent care and treatment for local patients. All money raised will help improve care and treatment for local people being treated within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. Don’t forget, you can choose to raise money for whichever ward, department or cause within the hospitals that means the most to you. For some of you, this might mean fundraising for our new Dementia Appeal. The appeal aims to raise £200,000 in 12 months to make Sheffield hospitals better for the 1 in 4 patients living with dementia. There are two routes to choose from; either a short but sweet 5k walk or a more challenging 10k route, both taking in the beautiful countryside of the Longshaw Estate in the Peak District National Park. The more money we raise, the more we can do together to make our local hospitals even better. Register today at: https://www.sheffieldhospitalscharity.org.uk/Event/walkforwards
  2. Hi all, I'm organising a charity event - it's a superhero themed event for families - and I'm looking for recommendations for children's entertainers. I already have a few superhero mascots/stilt walkers but would like a few more entertainers there. Does anyone have any recommendations for jugglers or balloon modellers? It's quite a large event so they wouldn't be doing a show as such, just walking around and getting involved. Obviously it's a charity event so budget is a bit strict but we wouldn't be expecting them to do it for free. Thanks.
  3. Sheffield Hospital Charity's flagship event Jessop’s Superheroes is BACK. Jessops Superheroes is now in its 6th year and has raised over £100, 000 over the last five years. In 2018, over 850 participants joined us on the day and we are hoping this year’s event will be bigger and better than the last. All involved are encouraged to wear superhero costumes so it’s a really fun event. Jessops Superheroes is a sponsored 2.5k family walk, buggy push, toddle or trike to raise funds to help improve the care and treatment of babies and their families at the Jessop Wing. Everybody who signs up will receive a free superhero cape or bib and each child will also receive a goody bag at the end of the superhero walk. Families, patients, local people and NHS staff will all join together to celebrate the superheroes who care for and save the lives of babies and their families each day. There are some fab prizes on offer for our best dressed superhero family! Join us at Graves Park on the 9th of June. Register on our website: https://www.sheffieldhospitalscharity.org.uk/Event/superheroes19 There is a £15 minimum sponsorship to take part to ensure that we make as much money as possible to support all the families and patients in the Jessop Wing. See you there!
