Hi, into anything really so long as its got a decent tune. Been playing 60's and 70's stuff mainly and have just bought a Fender Tele Thinline and a Gibson Les Paul Studio. Also have a couple of decent acoustics. I don't play lead stuff and have just started getting into barre chords playing things like Sultans of Swing. Would love to expand my repetoire and play with some other musicians even if I don't make the grade.

I can play chords/rhythm and have a couple of decent electrics. Might be a bit old for you guys though.

Oops. Sorry for hijacking the post :-) but interested all the same.

Hi I'm 50, currently playing some Dire Straits stuff but like most sorts, Maiden, G&R, Sabbath etc (it's my age LOL). It's all rhythm stuff I play (well, try to) although having just bought a G LP, I might start trying to learn some lead stuff.

Anyone Interested in forming a Country band?
Heliman replied to now then's topic in Sheffield Musicians
I wouldn't mind giving it a go. I can play chords and pick and as well as a Gibbo LP Studio and Fender Tele Thinline, I have two S&P Cedars (6 & 12) which I could put a pup into (the 12 would add a different sound). -
Strange how quite a few people on here are dismissive of Wizards. I found them to be very helpful. I could try any guitar I wanted, they chatted to me and the wife and when I left without buying anything except a strap, they were very courteous. Doesn't look like others have had the same experience though.

Hopefully one day I will be good enough to jam in a band LOL

Female singer/guitarist wanted for acoustic covers band
Heliman replied to cubeat's topic in Sheffield Musicians
Not a brilliant guitarist but I can string chords together and do some finger picking and have 6 and 12 string acoustics. -
Generally you are looking at £10 for 30 minutes. It could be more if it's one to one.

Hi there. Why not pick up the guitar again. I could give you some free lessons and show you how to very quickly read tab and then you can practice and learn to your hearts content taking lessons when you need them. I have a few guitars so there is no need to spend on one until you decide whether or not to get into it properly. PM me if you are interested. I am S20.
