Hi everyone,
I'm a relative newcomer to Sheffield and I am currently doing a project at university looking at the history of The Moor from 1979 (when it was pedestrianised) through until the modern redevelopment. I have found some fantastic information on the Forum about the different shops in The Moor and the area has changed over the last few decades, but I would love to find out more about it.
I'm putting together a map of the different shops on the Moor trying to mark on all the shops from 1979-2010 - it's not complete by a long way, so if you had any information that would be brilliant!!
If anyone has any other stories or memories about the Moor or any photos from the 80s/90s/00s who would be willing to share I would be extremely grateful!
