John Lydon. Seems a very interesting person.

Yes, one in particular was practicing flapping his wings this morning. Hope he stays away from the edge.

Rebekah And Coleen. What A Waste Of Time !
Rollypolly replied to pattricia's topic in General Discussions
It's just two women that have fallen out. Most would get on with their lives and not speak to each other again. đ -
The pigeon population has certainly taken a hit.

My point exactly đđ

Is it just me that find it offensive when people use the name Karen to describe a woman that's racist or generally not very nice. I'm related to a Karen and she is the complete opposite of this stereotype. We wouldn't put up with calling people names because of their race (quite rightly) but it seems to be ok to pick on Karens!

Pigeon pie for super tonight. Bit gruesome. The chicks didn't get a look in. The parents kept it for themselves.

Feeding time Padders. Unfortunately it's got it's back to the camera. There are now 4 chicks.
-
They were fed about half an hour ago Padders so that might be it for today. I missed it but my son told me. We saw them yesterday feeding at around 3:30 and then again at 6:30 so that might be a time to watch. Shame about the poor little creatures that are being ripped apart though đą

The 4th egg hasn't hatched. It's still in the box though, or it was earlier today. The 3 chicks have got healthy appetites. I've managed to catch them feeding a few times. It's very addictive viewing đ

Memory Test Northern General Hospital
Rollypolly replied to Caroline's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
They'll be asked about 15 standard questions. Things like spell world backwards or count from 20 backwards. Also they'll be given 3 simple words to remember then asked to repeat them later. It's important that your relative stays calm and doesn't stress about it. You can find more information on the NHS website. Good luck. -
Oh heck. Now I'm really confused. I think you ought to just put your feet up and open a bottle of wine. If anyone asks where you're from just say 'earth'.

The UK is a sovereign state consisting of 4 countries - England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland

Bet that's made your day Padders đ

That's made me laugh. My mum had similar sayings. She also used to say 'are you having you hair cut short'???? No I'm having it cut long. If she'd lost something she'd always find it in the last place she'd looked. Don't know why she didn't carry on looking for it after she'd found it. If she had a pain, say in her leg, it was always 'just like toothache'. đ¤Ŗđ¤Ŗđ¤Ŗ

I agree. I don't watch it much myself but from what I've seen its just harmless fun. Much better than the likes of Keith Lemon who just comes across as nasty. It's better than watching the news anyway âšī¸

I've heard a number of people complaining about British gas overcharging. I think I'd be on the phone to them, although tbh you probably won't get much joy. It's very worrying isn't it?

That seems excessive even without the price increase. Who are you with?

Businesses May Have To Have 'Menopause' Policies.
Rollypolly replied to Chekhov's topic in General Discussions
I agree wholeheartedly Anna. Shortly after I retired I went into Carphone Warehouse to buy a new phone. The young male sales assistant was very helpful but I could have cried when I asked him a question and he told me I could find the answer on line. He followed it up by saying 'Do you know how to use the internet'? I was an engineer for over 30 years and the majority of my work was computer based. I didn't bother putting him right and it did give me something to tell my friends about đ¤Ŗ -
Businesses May Have To Have 'Menopause' Policies.
Rollypolly replied to Chekhov's topic in General Discussions
As someone who worked into their late sixties I found one of the hardest things was how younger colleagues treated us older ones as though we were infirm when in actual fact we did the same work as good or better than them. I think a specific menopause policy will just provide a bigger stick for them to beat older colleagues with. By all means someone struggling with the menopause should have support as should anyone suffering with any medical condition. Just don't make it into a big deal. Most women I know had very few issues with the menopause (myself included). I appreciate I was lucky I just don't think assuming all women will suffer will do any good. -
Glad it's not just me then. đ¤Ą

When my kitchen sink got blocked I thought it would be easy to fix it myself. I unscrewed the fitting on the bend to remove the blocked section of pipe having remembered to put a bucket underneath to catch the water. I dislodged the gunk causing the blockage then poured the dirty water down the sink. Result - wet carpet, wet feet and red face.

What Are You Watching On Tv At This Moment ?
Rollypolly replied to pattricia's topic in Entertainment Chat
I quite enjoyed it but as TV has been so abysmal over the last 2 years I think my expectations have dropped. I've even taken to watching Doc Martin, Friends and Plebs even though I've seen them several times. -
People Laughing At Every Single Thing On Tv.
Rollypolly replied to pattricia's topic in Entertainment Chat
Yes I agree, it is annoying. In a similar vein I hate to see people clapping themselves. As in ' let's hear it for Sid' and everyone claps including Sid. -
