  1. I have a HP Pavilion g6 Notebook laptop 6.00 GB Ram 64 bit OP System, which I want to sell. It is a few years old, but hardly used, and is in prestine condition. If I remove everything, I believe it will automatically install the Windows that it came with when I purchased it new. It is running Windows 10, but I cannot remember if I upgraded from an earlier version. There is nothing of any importance on the laptop. Is it possible to remove files, and be sure that Windows 10 remains.

Yes No HA HaroldBrockley Replied on November 2, 2023 I have done a PC Health Check to see if I can download Windows 11, and the results say "This PC doesn't currently meet Windows 11 system requirements". My PC is nine or ten yeats old, and it is working fine. In the PC Health Check result, Microsoft uses the word currently. Does this mean that sometime in the future that the download will be possible. I have read somewhere that there is a way to bypass this problem. 3. Hi, I have a desktop PC, running with Windows 10 - 64 bit. It does not have built in Wi-Fi, so I use an ethernet cable. I want to adapt it to WI- FI. I am an elderly person, and I am looking for something that is not complicated to use.
  4. Ì have an Epson XP - 332 Expression Home printer scanner. I have had to unplug my desktop PC and printer for a couple of days. I have re- connected both devices. When I print a text document, it is in enormous text.
  5. Thank you for your reply. As I have stated, without the password I cannot open Thunderbird, so I cannot look at anything. The good news is that I have found the password in a file in Documents, and I can now open Thunderbird.
  6. I uninstalled Mozilla Thunderbird email, and then reinstalled it. It asking for my password, which I cannot remember. I cannot see anywhere on this page where it says " Forgotten Password ", so I cannot open Thunderbird.
  7. I use Yahoo mail on my PC, windows 10. I had a tune playing when I received new mail. I was having a problem with Yahoo, so I added Mozilla Thunderbird on my PC. Yahoo mail is working ok now, and I can use both servers. I prefer Yahoo, but the notification sound plays on Thunderbird, nothing on Yahoo. I did a bit of searching, and it said to make Yahoo my primary server. I have tried going into email settings, but I cannot see how to do it.
  8. My late wife loved to have bowls of pot pourri in various rooms. I still have them, but the fragrance has more or less worn off. I would like to refresh the fragrance. I tried a couple of small bottles, putting a few drops in each bowl. The fragrance is very weak, I suppose you get what you pay for. I would be grateful if anyone knows of a good brand that would give a decent fragrance.
  9. The PC has just again failed to boot up normally. I pressed F2 , pressed save and exit, I did not select anything else. The screen changed to a message saying something like " Do you want to save changes Yes/No", and I selected Yes. The PC continued to boot up. Is this correct.
  10. I have taken a better photo.
  11. https://hosting.photobucket.com/images/i/Greenveg1/20201225_103614.jpg?width=450&height=278&fit=bounds&crop=fill I have finally managed to take a photo. This is the first time the PC has failed to boot uo normally since my last message. It is not a very good photo, I hope that you can work with it.
  12. The PC failed to boot up normally this morning. I tried to take a screenshot, but it would not let me do it. Maybe it is because the PC has not booted up till I press a key, and when I do this, I lose that screen in the boot up process. I don't know if there is another way to take this screenshot. I have realised that I can take a photo of the message. I think that it is red text on a black background. I don't know how good the photo will be. I will try it at the first opportunity.
  13. The battery has already been replaced, same problem.
  14. When I boot up my desk top pc it usually boots up normally. However, a lot of times when I boot up it makes a beep note, and an on screen message tells you to press any key to continue. I do this, and the pc boots up. Is this something that can be rectified.
  15. I thought that I had cured the problem, but it still persists. The keyboard that I was using was proving difficult. A couple of the keys, especially the S did not function very well, sometimes it did, sometimes it did not. I prised off the keys, did a clean, but they still do not function properly. I swapped to my older keyboard, some of the letters are a bit faded. This older keyboard has a Power key, so I started to switch off the computer with this key. The computer now starts normally every time. Does anyone know the make and model of a not too expensive keyboard that includes a Power key. I include a link showing the Power key on my old keyboard. https://ibb.co/CbRs2xD
  16. I have replaced the CR2032 battery, and now my PC boots up normally every time. It looks like problem solved. Thank you all for your help and advice.
  17. Updates seem ok. The problem still persists. I have taken a photo, and put it on my PC, but I am struggling to upload it in this message. I cannot see an attachment icon to do this . I have only got this. https://ibb.co/kx9RP96
  18. As far as I know. Is there a check I can do to determine this.
  19. When I boot up my PC, Windows 10, sometimes it boots up normally. Other times a message appears telling you to press any key to continue.
  20. I have changed my old PC Windows 10 for a newer PC Windows 10. I still have the older PC. I have Microsoft Office 2003 on the older PC, and I am trying to install it on the newer PC. I have the correct 25 digit product key from the older PC, but the newer PC will not accept it.
  21. I cannot delete Google Chrome bookmarks from homepage on Windows 10. The bookmarks appear under the Google search bar at the top of the screen, and under the Google search bar in the centre of the screen. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Google Chrome, but the problem remains. The "Show bookmarks bar" can be unticked but the bookmark bar continues to be there. Apparently, other people are having this issue.
  22. i have changed my PC desktop keyboard, as some of the letters on the keys were getting worn. I have always shut down my computer with the power button. The replacement keyboard has the power, sleep etc. buttons, but it will not shut down when the power button is pressed. I shut down with Start > Power > Shut down. I have not changed anything, and I am wondering why the power button on the keyboard is not functioning.
  23. I am running Windows live mail with windows 10. A small amount of incoming emails arrive in script MT bold font. If I select reply or forward, the messages appear in normal arial font. This suggests to me that the message was created in arial font. I have a composed email in my Drafts folder that I have created partly in script MT bold. I am wondering if this could be interfering with the fonts. The message in the Drafts folder is a special message which I do not want to delete.
  24. I have been struggling to install a different email provider. However, I was looking at the icons on the top ribbon on Windows Live Mail, and I clicked on one, ( I cannot remember which one), and the senders names reappeared. With the problem no more, I have decided to leave things as they are. Thank you very much for your help and advice.
