I can see where your coming from mate but I don't think some of the managerial greats like Ferguson/Clough etc would have wanted to be told what players they can have, I think we tried a bit of that approach under CC with mixed results.

His stint as caretaker after CC was awful, his stint after JL was good (it couldn't have been worse following that clown) I just feel he won't have the contacts in the game that more experienced guys have as he played his entire career at a fairly modest level, a great bloke that I wouldn't want to see tarnished by the reputation of failed management.

I fully agree mate, keep him in a similar capacity to now, need someone stronger in the managerial role.

I've had many a bust up with managers/company owners in the past, it doesn't mean I want to leave, the claims were spurious at best. DC doesn't like selling players at the best of times, if you think he'd sell to a city rival think again. Having said that if you've paid £10m for Moussett you can have him for £20m. 😂

I really have no idea why the role of an employee at SWFC would cause you so much concern, Lee Bullen was only ever an average player but he was a workhouse that gave everything on the pitch and played in every position as a player, he still followed the Owls even after a brief spell in Scotland and still regularly attended games, he moved back to Sheffield and has since filled various coaching roles from the academy upwards, he's a great guy who loves the club and always has time to stop and have a chat if you see him around, your posts/obsession about him are getting a bit embarrassing.

I agree that United will hold their own, I expect a mid table finish. The Owls have a squad capable of top 6 but need the right man at the helm to hone it that way. Can't really predict until thats sorted.
