  1. No he's spent over £100m on players that are no better than the div 3&4 players, thats the problem, there seems to be something wrong in the camp as the lack of effort today was quite staggering from a team that had it in spades last season, time for a fresh approach.
  2. A good character in the days when it was on twice a week and actually worth watching.
  3. Very poor game, even worse Owls performance but a very much needed 6 points in two games, FA cup up next and then Coventry (A) where we have to be looking at another 3 hopefully.
  4. Wilder was quoted as wanting the game to go ahead, I don’t think you’ll see much of Billy Sharp in a United shirt again.
  5. Narrowly lost 18 out of 20 games that's real bad luck. 🙂 Some stats: SUFC have the worst start in football league history going back 132 years SUFC have the lowest points total on Boxing Day ever recorded SUFC are level with QPR without a win in the first 16 Premier League games SUFC are the only club in the 92 in the league pyramid who are yet to win a game Oli Burke has not ended up on the winning side in his first 25 appearances the worst run in Prem history Not good reading for Blades fans.
  6. 18 consecutive games without a win is not bad luck.
  7. I agree Blackburn have been scoring for fun so a draw can definitely be looked on as a plus, we need to start picking some wins up elsewhere though.
  8. On your last point I wouldn’t trust the current to rebuild or regroup anything, relegation would be a disaster.
  9. I don't know if the wages thing is something that's been blown out of proportion, all the staff at SWFC were paid in full through lockdowns etc, the club currently has very little revenue, it looks like the club is paying each player £7k with the rest topped up by DC himself, none of the players seemed to be bothered by this if their celebrations of Tom Lees's goal on Saturday and their some players subsequent interviews where they say they are happy to sign new contracts. I'm not as confident of staying up as you are.
  10. Thats brilliant thank you, its puzzled me for over 40 years 🙂
  11. My mother used to say of big headed people - He's got an 'ead as big as a sett pot, never heard this anywhere else or know what a set pot is lol
  12. I've seen nothing from Berge to suggest he's anywhere near your best player, lightweight and ineffective.
  13. Losing virtually every game is no good no matter what league you're in. To be fair Manchester Utd didn't really get out of second gear, their attack ran rings round Uniteds pedestrian defence and Henderson gifted you the two goals with catastrophic errors.
  14. Officially the worst start to a top flight season in English football history.
  15. The worst is most definitely yet to come, the "success" of that first season gave DC the belief that he could go it alone in English football and he's yet to admit that he can't, very worrying.
  16. To be fair Uniteds recruiting for this season has been awful and will probably lead to relegation, its not a flawless concept but it is preferable.
  17. In a season of very poor performances this was another to add to the list, totally gutless.
  18. Didn't bother watching today for the first time this season, unsurprisingly it sounded like Barnsley were the far better side, L1 here we come.
  19. If Southampton have an off day the woeful Blades might scrape a draw.
  20. 40 years after his murder - Happy Xmas (War Is Over) - John Lennon.
  21. We'll be lucky to score three goals in a month Mooks, never mind one game.
  22. I remember well him coming to Sheffield after a lot of Argentina players put themselves on the market after their World Cup win in '78, quite a coup for SUFC but his time in England wasn't a huge success.
  23. A good performance overall, great goal by Windass and only a couple of defensive lapses cost us the game, Pelupessy could and should have put it to bed at 0-1.
