  1. I'd be surprised if any of my neighbors reported it - the only ones who it is reasonably near to - are quite partial to a fridge/freezer or mattress in their own garden.
  2. Some dirty slob had dumped a largish pile of broken glass near the kerb across from my property. Decided to report it using - https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/in-your-area/report_request/litter.html I was absoltely amazed that less than 20mins later a cleaning truck was there to clear it up. I believe the local depot isn't too far away but still - I've waited longer for taxis to arrive.
  3. What about – Holliday Inn – Sheffield – Victoria http://www.holidayinn.com/hotels/gb/en/sheffield/emauk/hoteldetail?qDest=Sheffield%2C+United+Kingdom&qAdlt=1&qChld=0&qRms=1&qIta=99603195&qPSt=0&qSmP=3&qWch=0&qSHp=1&qBrs=6c.hi.ex.rs.ic.cp.in.sb.cw.cv&qSrt=BRAND_SORT&qRad=50&qRdU=0&qRpp=25&qRRSrt=rt&qLat=53.3831&qLng=-1.4646&qFRA=1&srb_u=1 Lovely old hotel with plenty of character You can use a Friends & Family link for the Thurs night as this is a business night – http://www.ihg.com/hotels/us/en/global/corporate/friendsfamily?key=Od7R83jjEc7Xyjpgp%252F2O4AwPw5EYRDFh7lNeyUZf2r4%253D For the Fri & sat night use 2-4-1 rate - http://www.greenroom.co.uk/alumni Don’t worry about using these links – anyone can use them – I’ve done it dozens of times. I don’t know if you have dates in mind but…….. As an example- Thurs 31/10/13 £ 53.13 (Standard) £ 60.78 (Exec) – Book using Friends & Family link Fri 01/11/13 £ 34.50 (Standard) £ 42.00 (Exec) – Book using 2-4-1 link Sat 02/11/13 £ 34.50 (Standard) £ 42.00 (Exec) - Book using 2-4-1 link Total £122.33 (Standard) - £144.78 (Exec) – These are totals per room NOT per person. Doesn’t include breakfast – often you can get it cheaper if you buy a voucher at reception – I guess it would be about £8-£10 per breakfast per person if you do this. Hope this helps.
  4. Nice work mate!! Although it's quite sad to see pubs that are now closed.
  5. Well done for making assumptions about everybody who is unlucky enough to find themselves out of work. Just because you're unemployed - it doesn't mean that you are scrounger. Just because you're asking is the jobcentre is open - it doesn't mean you can't be bothered to attend. I don't receive any benefits but I am required to sign on & I do unpaid voluntary work. Oh and actually my street (& pavement) are very clear of snow - guess who did that?
  6. It's a nightmare trying to contact them - even if you get through you are told all the lines are busy. It's costing me a fortune to ring the 0845 number via VM (even using a dialer). I've just e-mailed 'contact-us@jobcentreplus.gsi.gov.uk' & got an "auto reply" - I'm not sure this will make any difference. Don't get me wrong I'll walk in - if they want but don't want to get there and it to be closed.
