I often see blokes of certain age , weight. Scruffy and so on with a gorgeous Oriental lass on his arm .  Much attention is usually on show .  Holding on tightly to arm or  hands .

These lasses some times look miserable as though they are in a different World .

One couple live near us ,he matches the above description , Gravy stained jumper mucky  trousers and belly .

She is around the mid 20 's , Slim and very attractive ,

So I asked my pal who lives next door to them just what she sees in the bloke ,

His answer was" He got her from the catalogues.

I said " what's that all about "  He said " just that he picked her from a website and married her . "

He is having me on int he .

Which catalogue ? and how much a week ?

I have come across a few photos of a large house called Norwood Hall an imposing building that was on the eve of been saved but the council sent in the bulldozers in during the night and down it came ( sounds a bit familiar to  a recently demolished former pub this ).

The house was a mix of brick and stone construction but in the photos the house looked run down and the gardens overgrown. Not sure on location but I believe the house is in a book called ' Demolished Sheffield ' anyone have a copy is it a good read?

Did anyone see this house before it went or know more about?

It was our playground when growing up in the early 70s  by that time it was known as bishopsholme  one time residence of bishop burrows first bishop of sheffield.

Watching the news I saw this item,  it was reported Colin Firths  shirt which  he wore in Pride and Prejudice was up for auction, apparently there were a lot of Collectors and Die Hard fans in  attendence but very strange that I never saw John Mcclane's vest on view. :hihi:

    Cheaper shirts in primark

Dunno, maybe they were not aware of it being erected.

The cemetery workers must have seen the cement mixers delivering to the site along with  Diggers that were there, My self and other family members actually spoke to some of the relatives who were laying the cement / concrete.

I read that they didn't have permission to build it that big though, so I guess the council would be within their rights to have it down.

    Be riots all ower!!

Why did the council not ask questions when the grave/ monument was being built its a bit late now.
