  1. That’s not true. I can evidence my claim too:) I don’t admire Blair. I would like a second referendum. Not for the first time, you are wrong. It seems that leavers are scared if the democratic will of the people
  2. Somebody else with a broken Google. Maybe the new Mayor should stand on a platform of free, fully functioning search engines for South Yorkshire.
  3. You might be right. I just get impatient with people who expect everything to be done by someone else. Nice set of links by the way, very useful. Anyway, Anna and everyone else will soon know all that they need to. This site is due to be updated and a booklet is winging its way to every household. A vote for Labour looks like it is pretty much a vote to abolish the post, which is an innovative election strategy. It is probably the best tactic in the long run though.
  4. That turned out really well the last time they tried that. David Owen all over the news and a decade of massive Thatcher majorities.
  5. If Dan Jarvis wins, it will be ÂŁ0. Anna. These things are easy to find out. Why not do your own research instead of whining about stuff on here?
  6. If nobody is around, do they still make a noise when they fall?
  7. All manner of ways. Vinyl, CD and wireless speaker at home. On the move, I stream from my iTunes in the cloud to my car stereo via my phone. That’s pretty close to witchcraft really
  8. The test for banning should be simple. Does an organisation repeatedly advocate breaking the law. If so, they don’t deserve a platform. BF certainly encouraged racially aggravated abuse, so by that measure they deserve to be cast into the wilderness.
  9. But it isn’t anything to do with her, or the Lib Dems. They’d be better served making sure that they elect a trustworthy leader. And I must say it was a bit presumptuous of a totally inexperienced politician to think that she could do anything useful.
  10. I stayed in London for a couple of days after the match, in case we lost. I watched the other semi in a pub at the side of the Thames. I was supporting Spurs, because I thought we had a better chance of beating them. Took me over half an hour to figure out that I was the only one supporting Spurs in there. In fairness, my accent got me out of most of the bother:D
  11. It is the proper alternative. No pedantry involved. If you thought clearly about it, you'd see that I'm right.
  12. The alternative is to counter the arguments that you disagree with, not attempt to supress them. Of course, that will require you to have some clarity of thought....
  13. The police, community leaders, teachers, youth workers will all know who these people are already. One of the actions that we need to take is to be much much tougher with the obvious criminals. If they can't be put away for dealing, then stop and search them. It shouldn't be too long before they are caught carrying a weapon. Then we can get on with the longer term actions needed to lift these areas out of poverty, violence and despair.
  14. It is a manifestation of the Lib Dems inability to accept a democratic vote:)
  15. You keep on spouting this nonsense. It has been pointed out to you before that it isn't possible to sack an MP. You can sack a self publicising, eugenics supporting oik. That's what the Tories did. You will, of course, notice that whilst Young has been sacked, Anne Marie Morris remains as an MP, with the Tory whip.
  16. If that was the case, then “people” would know who represents which party, and who is standing for mayor. Nobody is energised. Most people are stupefied and don’t know who is up for election , or what they stand for
  17. Wrong thread Hackey, but if you go to his website, you can sign up for his newsletter. It contains enough info to satisfy your fanboy type interest in him. Here’s the address in case Google is out in Hackenthorpe. https://www.jaredomara.co.uk/
  18. That is good to know. It sounds like a robust policy that should remove most conflicts of interest. The Q and A sessions would be a great addition to the forum. I do hope that they happen. I’m still perturbed by the idea that a candidate in a local election can also have editorial control of a large Internet forum.
  19. No. I just read the nominations:D (Actually, they are all popping over for cocktails later)
  20. Jonathon doesn’t have any editorial control over the forum, so he’s different from Jeffrey. In his case, I’d like to see him make his candidacy clear when posting.
  21. Are you suggesting that a Labour councillor should somehow interfere with a commercial decision made by a shop?
  22. Now that Jeffrey Shaw is a candidate, can we assume that he will avoid moderating, or contributing to any political threads until after the election?
  23. In which case, I apologise to Mr Hackey. This whole thread should really get whooshed by magic wand into the “All things Labour” megathread anyway. Not much point in having a megathread and not using it:cool:
  24. Post 639 has all of the info that you need, Hackey. It is a bit odd that you’ve resurrected this thread to ask a question that has already been answered ages ago. Is it a bit of forgetfulness in your behalf, or a bit of a man crush?
