No, it's HER phone and she's not 'fiddling around' as such just playing with the apps until the sim arrives. If she had dropped it it would be broke, it's all glass!

Hi So after advice on here purchased the Nexus 4 which arrived startlingly fast from Google. Looks beautiful! Can't use it at the moment as we are waiting for a micro sim from Orange and a cover. However my daughter can't keep her hands off it and has already loaded it with apps in preparation. She just said, 1st problem it's just turned itself off and rebooted up. This is an annoying thing the Samsung Ace used to do, how can she stop it happening?

Walkerx will do, having looked on other sites it's far cheaper on google play. Thank you Mr Arc.....are you happy with the Nexus 4? I have just ordered a card from Orange, first 2 operators said I wasn't with them on the number I quoted we have only been with them for 20 years! Think I will change to giffgaff later. Will probably order later today and then we'll see how much the shipping to the UK is!

Well she's paying for it herself out of her pocket money summer job etc so it's important to her. My only worry is the battery life on a daily basis. She charges the Ace all night, every night but I am concerned it will run out during the day even if she does this as the spec isn't fantastic, what do you think? If it needs replacing I can take it to the phone shop at Handsworth they are good so not concerned about that just the day to use. Also, just had another thought, it takes a micro card which I don't think the Ace has, should I contact Orange about this?

There's no way without as the Ace screen is cracked from a small drop of about a foot. I think an industrial type case is in order here! She won't be using it for music as she has a massive ipod for that, she can only use 6 apps on the Ace at the moment so I think she'd only use it for those, is 16gb still needed?

So which Nexus model is the best to go for the 8gb or the 16gb which would be £199?

Boyfriday, the best thing I ever bought was the 'Spider catcher' you can keep them at arms length and then put them back outside, they may come back in but at least I know they're not in the same room as me for now!

If she gets an S3/4 then she is definitely getting an armour type cover, the Galaxy Ace is already cracked (but works)

Currently thinking about getting a Samsung S3 or S4. We have a SIM only account that runs out in April, always owned our own handsets so would like to purchase outright. So....not wanting to line the pockets of Orange (or should I say EE) where is the best place to buy one from. Don't want to risk spending a lot on ebay, would be happy to be refurbished or 2nd hand with some sort of guarantee. Current phone is Samsung Galaxy Ace, little memory need a better phone now! Recommendations please!
