What is the priority here, spend money on a few work men to fix an old clock ior spend the same amount of money on social care ?

I use Victoria keys parking next to the canal basement £3 all day flat fee coin only. I come in from Halfway area

I know the council do them at Lowedges , very basic accomodation & furnishings even the mattress had the housing logo all over it ! Pikeman

We're planning to move next tuesday (24th) , The person we're buying off is ready to exchange we're ready to exchange the mortage is ready as is insurance , removals etc etc However Sheffield City council is buying our house & the person thats dealing with it has been away for the week! with no one else in that department prepared to help . SO how short can dates be between exchange of contracts & completion dates . Pikeman

I'm BUYING thru Haybrooks at the minute &have to say that their 'help' has been very poor, just 3 telephone call's from them in 10 weeks & one of those was more hinderance than help thankfully I have got a good convayancer & also get on well with the seller so we've been able to keep things running smooth without Haybrook's help. Like all estate agents their more than happy to help you before the sale but once the sale go's thru ... No interest Pikeman

I'm not sure of a price (as we're paying it thru the mortage broker ) but certaily recomend Colleys in Rotherham http://www.colleys.co.uk as they did a homebuy survey on the house we're now buying & the survey report was exelent Pikeman

Ilkeston co-op travel for me too. Very good deals (even better if you buy large sums ) & also very good buy back rates. Plus the shop in town centre has some very friendly staff.

The road you are interested in is in phase 4/5 so as probabley told to you the tenants in those houses still have another 3-4 years still left before they are given notification of phase demolition, until that point they have no extra housing points or priority on council bidding or disturbance allowance. The houses that you have seen boarded up on that road have been empty for over a year (!) also one of the houses on that road suffered a bad house fire over xmas so will also be in need of boarding. As to the local yobs they tend to hang around on the footpaths at the back of the row of houses. Last night was a quite night for a change ! I know the blocks you mean that your looking at as I live on N wy , as to the financial part as all ready said ring the council office at Crystal Peaks & ask to speak to someone in the Newstead regeneration team they will clarify this info for your particular needs. Take a trip down to the bottom of the estate & ask yourself will I be happy living in this in 18- 24 months time , remember this estate is up for demolition & people like myself are moving out all the time & more & more houses will be boarded up. If you want similar size/type house look to the Norfolk park regen houses. regards Pikeman

Hi alysonpeach, YES i live on the Newstead Estate on Newstead Wy . You REALY DONT want to move on to this estate (even if the council still allow it ) as its all up for demolition. I (thank the lord) move of the estate very soon & am counting down the days , the top end of the estate may seem resonable but the bottom of the estate is virtualy empty other than those pleople who are on a latter demolition phase, this means that the teenage &younger gangs are now just in more & more a tight area with broken glass & stuff along all of the paths. There are alot better areas in south sheffield to move to at the moment other than this estate. ps this also go's for weaklands & scowerdons as well Hope this Helps you Pikeman
