Exeter Street, Sheffield 3 1938 _ 1957

Boats still on the lake in the mid fifties, plus a canoe. Lake full of dead leaves at the far end, about a foot deep, got stuck many a time, happy days.

Saw the area about 3 days later, about 6 at the time. tim

Exeter St, Lawson St, Hanover St all had direct hits,in the cellar of 3 Exeter St, at the time,about a dozen killed I think,now aged 82.

Went there all my school life 1943 to 1953. Infant teachers Miss Hawksworth and Miss Linstead, others Mrs Ellis,Mrs Harrison,Mr Watson,Mr Crawshaw, Mr Roach, Mr Beresford, Headmaster, may have been more I cant remember, its been a long time.
