I see no problem whatsoever with them charging more when demand high and they will no doubt be stuck in trafic providing it is clear what the cost will be when you book -

it is unfortunate however that they use of one micro journey I am sure with any change there will be winners and losers. Andy I agree with your last para - sums it up perfectly and a bit like the cycle lanes that were deemed to be valuable when cars were off the road and now as traffic builds up they are removing them (just noticed the ones in Corby Street Attercliffe seem to have gone recently) ill though out -
Benefit To Sheffield Of Having A Labour Council?

Of course you surely do not expect people to give careful consideration on the subject and overthrow their current political views do you (a non party political statement) -

It is impossible for any bus service to replicate what can be done by private car or taxi and naive to even expect it. I am sure there are plenty who might be able to report a negative experience with a bus trip (Once you had identified that your mother was not secured properly why did you not ask the driver to stop and rectify the issue ) -
Wednesday Players Don't Get Their Wages Again.

I think if he has a $720 m fortune (Forbes) then it is safe to assume that he is a successful businessman -
@Apelike Indeed I may have grasped the wrong end of the stick I was not aware that if I canceled it immediately the free trial would continue regardless for the rest of the 28 days. If that is the case it would be simpler to do at the time but it is easy enough for me to diary to do it later

Firstly what ever you say about the guy he is a very successful businessman and worth a fortune. Like other rich men he has decided he wishes to have a little sideline and bought a UK football team and just like the rest made big noises about making it a premier league club with out ever understanding the business. Unfortunately he is now beginning to understand that you can buy a UK football club quite cheaply but making money from it or building success are far harder and do not come cheap. The simple fact is that if he wanted he could no doubt fund the shortfall the family is very rich and successful so one might hazard a guess that he has lost interest in SWFC and is working out how to get out without losing even more money and more important in the Thai culture face. The real question is who would ant to buy the club because it is not the purchase price that is the issue it is the investment required - it certainly does not make economic sense -

I wonder if you could get a more low key campaign than this for commissioner - I am not worried about age per se but what I would like to know is exactly what their aims as commissioner are and what changes they may wish to implement. One thing I am certain of and that is do not pass the responsibilities on to the mayor or at least the current one -

well you would raise funds from supporters simple just like in the old days ....but I can assure you that I am not going to act as your marketing consultant -
I think you may need to go through the system to actually get to talk with the store

Failure to pay wages should lead to an immediate 12 point deduction for next season -
Well it is a free trial for one month so why should I cancel it straight away - firstly I do not wish to cancel the order and start again, secondly it is far easier to cancel 28 days later than it is to avoid when you buy and you can set an alert for a reminder (from Amazon) to cancel before you get monthly bills (or as I do to be double sure add a note in my yahoo calendar as well ) and finally there is the advantage of during the trial to purchase the odd small item such as in my case a case for my phone (that triggered the membership) or a waterproof pouch for my kindle Yes I did have a look at the TV but to be honest I could not be bothered so did not use it

tram is good from the rail station. Andy that was why I was specific about the bus station -
I am sure regular users know their way round it is the irregular ones (or first timers) who get caught. For me it is simply annoying as easy enough to cancel and not nearly as annoying as searching for specific things on the site and having to work your way through numerous "similar" things that you don't want (like searching for 1 tog duvets and finding that they are all jumbled up with 4.5 tog. 10.5 tog duvets and the like)

Great every time I want to catch a bus I need to download the map and then of course hope that they have not changed the stops and "forgotten" to update the map For someone with walking difficulties walking to the tram from the bus station is not the easiest of tasks and true there may be alternatives to the freebie but of course this may involve finding where exactly to connect and catch the bus. On balance though I fell the money could be better spent -
Why Is Albert Terrace Road Off Infirmary Road Closed
BigAl1 replied to BigAl1's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
hardly new thing that signage is poor in Sheffield. I have seen so many ill thought out examples that I think there is a special team there working out how to make life more difficult for motorists. One of the worst was clear signs directing traffic right because the road ahead was closed when lo and behold the road you were being directed onto was closed and there were no road works on the road ahead. -

No it is not it is no entry it is those leaving tesco towards Penistone road who are effected -
last year I looked at getting mine done (4 bed detached) and costs varied from around £1800 to £4500 but of course the high end ones immediately offered a discount if you did not bite. If they send a salesman round always look at the car he is driving the better the car the higher the quote. If they say they are working round here or have done lots of work in the area ask for details and check it out _ I was told by one guy that they had done several properties but oddly enough they could not back it up Yes scaffolding adds horribly to the quotes. In the end I found a painter who was willing to go up there and paint them for a fraction of the cost - sure they may need repainting in 5 to 10 years but I will be long dead by the time the costs of repainting outweigh new facias

Well stating that they have not replied is implied criticism you could have just as easily it would appear posted the links without the need to ask the parties as you have done with 2 of the parties I note that you have not included any reference or opportunity for other parties to contribute like Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition, UK Independence (UKIP), Yorkshire, Social Democratic, Women’s Equality and Reform UK parties who all have candidates in the running alongside independents, although not in every ward. - you seem to have decided they do not deserve to have their voice heard which to me seems unwarranted. No I am not saying I would support or even consider any of them with the exception of the independents I just take issue with the way you have gone about this -

I am not sure of what to make of this to be honest. You have the details of the parties web site so what more are you expecting from them? the Tories and Greens get a tick because they have responded with the link whereas Labour and Lib Dems are seemingly criticised for not providing the link to the website you already have. One thing that has not made it through my door is any info about the Police commissioner candidates and their policies - these may well be tucked somewhere on the party sites but quite frankly these should not be party political at all -

Me thinks you are far too defensive. There is more that can be done but the "powers that be" and the people responsible need to see things though the consumers eyes and not from the company perspective. Most importantly there is the need to ensure that the information is designed to work for those unfamiliar with the network and public transport and not those who are already familiar and know their way round the system. you might also actually familiarise yourself with the reality of the situation as the map at the interchange does not feature the bus stop for the 81/82 and the 81/82 do not feature on the destinations served from the interchange on poster either. A more consumer orientated might look and see well perhaps we can do more and include where the buses that do not stop at the Interchange might be found in the immediate area
