  1. Wow, Tennants'Queens, long forgot about that brew.
  2. Now you are just being silly. Or are you just trying to get everybody back on the Trump thread to take people's mind off Andy? LOL
  3. Well British cops have called off the investigation of Andy, wonder if he will be visiting the US anytime soon.lol.Not likely, I would imagine.
  4. As a former life long tradesman myself, I abhor this kind of theft. To me it is the equivalent of stealing the food off of my family's table. Do you have insurance to cover the theft i.e. from your self employment or even your vehicle if that was where they were stolen from? Also if you was working at someone's residence and was parked on their driveway, you may be able to claim from the homeowner's home insurance, I know someone who actually did that successfully. Good luck Sam, but don't hold your breath waiting for the cops to collar the culprit
  5. What surprises me most is that the UK stores have a Black Friday at all when you don't even have a Thanksgiving. Lol . Commercialism running riot. I thought it was bad enough doing it in Canada, but at least Canada does have a Thnksgiving albeit 6 weeks before the US one. But even we have the Black Friday sale at the same time as the US one. Mind you, Canada would have to have a Black Tuesday, as our Thanksgiving is always the 2nd Monday in October.
  6. I was just thinking aloud and guessing, because the guy had a similar style and I did know he had played Weston Park around that era. Not 100% sure the bass player is Mal Hooley either to be honest, but behind all the hair there was a resemblance and he could certainly play great. Talking of Sheffield musicians, and this guy also started out playing bass, can there be anyone with a more prolific body of work than this lad from Woodseats, check the list : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Stainton
  7. That was excellent Jim,looks like Mal Hooley(RIP)on bass behind the long hair and beard, he was a great bass player even at 16. Could be wrong as I wasn't up with the scene that late in the decade, so don't recognise the name of the band, I knew Mal in the early 60s when that look had not yet arrived.lol. The lead guy sounded a bit like Peter Green, founder of Fleetwood Mac, but forgot what he looked like.
  8. Can't be that much if you keep them over 20 years like we have. Saying that I have had the odd real one but they leave too much mess and now we are in an apartment , they are forbidden anyway as a fire risk.
  9. Is that a rule with players on loan that they can't play against their parent club,or is he missing for another reason?
  10. He obviously doesn't want to play for the Owls, show him the door.
  11. Just imagine had Margaret been the older sister,Lol.
  12. So now them 10,000 lads going up and down them hills can get more rest, now that the gaffer's gone.
  13. That is brilliant, sarcasm at it's most meaningful, God bless them all.
  14. Don't you realise how hard it is to organise a chimpanzee tea party? 😌
  15. I have quite a bit of admiration for the Queen but that is it, although Diana's lads seem OK blokes and tolerable.
  16. Yeah, Jerry Lee was kicked out of the UK because of that and all his sold out shows cancelled.Sadly that marriage ended tragically years later, they also lost a child who drowned , I believe.
  17. Yes, they went directly to Sicily from North Africa after their famous victory at El Alamein and the defeat of Rommel.
  18. In 32 states it's 16, there are only 12 with 18. and that is just states, Federally it is a blanket 16 for the whole country. In Tenessee one can have consensual sex at 13 with another teen who is no more than 4 years their senior.
  19. No royal has been close enough to the action in war to risk his life since Richard III, and he never made it home. Also if somebody with a spare horse had heard Richard cry out, we could have had a whole different royal lineage than we have today.πŸ˜‰β˜ΊοΈ
  20. I told other kids that my uncle(didn't have a dad) was a spitfire pilot and that the helmet belonged to him. Then a lot of other kids showed up in them. Lol I can imagine the dried snot stains.
  21. I's almost that Scrooge time again eh?
  22. I had a leather flying helmet from the army stores.I thought I was Biggles.πŸ˜ƒ
  23. I liked the Hadfield when I had a room in that area between marriages about 1975. Used to go in there on some Sunday lunchtimes during that summer. Sorry to hear that it has gone the way of so many good pubs from those days in Sheffield. There was another bigger pub further up the road on the same side of the street and on a corner, can't think of the name though. I suppose that has gone now as well.
  24. He is a self annointed Witchfinder General.
