  1. Thanks for the replies everyone! Much appreciated. I will drop Stephen a line and see if he has anything :-)
  2. I'm making a documentary about a musician who played and recorded a lot in Sheffield in the early 1980's and one of the places he recorded at was Input Studio. Does anyone have any info of the studio from around that time and who ran it and exactly where it was etc? One of the engineers was a chap called 'Ozzie' I think... Photo's of the front of the studio from that time would also be brilliant if anyone has any? The chap in question, Peter Boam, was in a band called Mortuary in Wax and was also in Pulp for a short time and appeared on the first Pulp album. If anyone has any other info please get in touch at david@ditelirecords.co.uk Here is the trailer for the documentary https://youtu.be/L-Ez0A2iD6c Many thanks David
  3. Here is a trailer for the forthcoming Peter Boam film, a very talented musician who sadly passed away many years ago. He was a member of Pulp as well as his exceptional solo work. Interviews are still being shot, so please get in touch if you have any information or memories to share. Many thanks https://youtu.be/L-Ez0A2iD6c
  4. Its a line from the Steve Miller Band song 'Abracadabra' released in 1982. First thing that came to me anyway ;-)
  5. Morning Folks :-) Along with my colleague Nicholas Pegg (Author Of 'The Complete David Bowie' book) we have just released a concept album called 'Decades'. It features not only guest musicians and singers but also actors who appear in little drama pieces between the songs, acting out the rites of passage story of the albums main character 'Kelver Leash'. Now the reason I am writing this particularly on the Sheffield Forum is because we have three Sheffield folk at the heart of it. Namely, myself - David Palfreyman, the actor Richard Coyle and keyboard player David Clayton. Here is a little trailer video for the album And here is the first single featuring Sarah Jane Morris of 'The Communards' Fame
  6. Currently reading David Niven's quite brilliant 'Bring On The Empty Horses'. Tales from the golden era of Hollywood. Definitely worth a read just to hear stories about Errol Flynn.
  7. Billy Wilder's 'The Apartment' and 'Double Indemnity'. Both films always reveal something you missed each viewing :-)
  8. 'The keepers' on Netflix is riveting viewing but highly disturbing!
