  1. Once had a weekend of youth work training there. The Saturday night I nipped home get my tackle and had an early night. The morning after at 630 I was on the bank with bread β€˜borrowed’ from the dinning hall πŸ˜‚ I had three decent carp that morning if I remember right. Then I went and attended the last days training which started at 930 smelling of fish πŸŸπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸ‘πŸ»

  5. Hey up folks.... took my 3 year old son fishing for the first time at the above mentioned few weeks back didnt have a bite in over a hour. This is not as i remember it as i used to take my daughter, a waggler rod and pint of maggots and catch 50 roach in a hour few years back!! Anyway when i was there some young lads came up to me and said all the fish had been taken out and put in loxley?? this would explain us getting no bites but can anyone enlighten me as to weather this is treu or not... my son still enjoyed reeling in and holding the rod and asks when we are next going... bonus!! Cheers matt

  8. Why is it that narrow minded (usually) men jump on the why should my business suffer bandwagon? For a start maternity pay although paid by the employer is then claimed back through the DWP at a rate of up to 104%. Few jobs are for life these days and anyone who joins a company could potentially leave at any time, could be through illness, better job offer or a million and other reasons, if an employer treats their staff with respect and equality they will get a worker who is committed and loyal, and who will be an asset in the long term. You can't just chastise people for going on maternity leave at the end of the day we need more professional people to have children, there are too many young parents while the career generation put off having children as they cannot afford to. If you are only interested in the short term discomfort of having to find a temp maybe you should consider where your future workforce is going to come from.
  9. Help needed. Im a youth worker in a football tournament with 10 Young people that i work with in Dinnington. Its being held tomorrow with youth teams entering from all of the projects in Rotherham the area. I have been working with these Y.P for 6 months to build relationships with them and get them ready for the tournament. I had arranged for some shirts to be printed with there names on etc... but the shop rang me tonight to say the shirts hadn't arrived so they couldn't get them printed. Im looking to borrow a kit off some body or if any body has 8 plain black t - shirts to donate then you could make our day!!
  10. I too had to pass all of that on the parkway at around 7pm. I did notice a chap had got out of his car belongings and all as it looked like his engine had caught fire. As for all the old bill they were doing routine checks with motorists on the other side. I also got off at parkway markets but came back on the other side of the road, thats when i saw the police doing the checks. I maybe right, may not but hope this is helpfull.
  11. I was 12 when i carried my brothers friends record box into the Boardwalk in manchester to secure my night out of pumping house music (he was the dj). That was the only way i got in as i was asked for id every other time and turned away!!
  12. ........I had tickets for both nights Reflective and the Hiphop night. Last months reflective was excellent, great music, fantastic Birmingham DJ's. What is going on with speed garage in Reflective? Seems that the DJ's just love those r'n'b remixes. Was waiting for ages for a choon, but it didn't seem to come. They opened the whole club up at about 2am, slightly annoying as had paid twice. Lights came on at 4.30. Don't know about you but in my day allnighter meant 'all night'. Looks like Movement's the place to be.
  13. The Adelphi nightm club and the drum (formerly the kettles on paternoster row) do dj stuff, lesson, radio broadcast etc....dont know if its just for young people though as im a youth worker and i used to take them for commitments etc...worth a phone call to get you sorted mate. Good luck M:thumbsup:
  14. Yeah your right there, they are right miserable in the woodhouse post office!!!! smile for us........
